Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra will announce the MHT CET 2021 result by October 28, 2021, in the form of percentile. As of now, the official answer keys and response sheet are available and hence candidates can calculate their marks using the same. With the marks in hand, to predict one’s result, students are on the lookout for MHT CET 2021 marks vs percentile data.
The percentile one gets is different from the concept of percentage. Since the CET exam is held in multiple shifts and the marks of the highest scorer in each shift is assigned the 100% percentile. Thereafter, based on the highest percentile, the authorities calculate the percentile of other students relatively.
The percentile of MHT CET changes every year but we can speculate on the basis of the data available from previous years. Students who appeared in MHT CET exam last year had shared their marks and percentile, and based on the same, the predicted MHT CET marks vs percentile 2021 is as follows.
MHT CET Marks | MHT CET Percentile |
159-165 | 99.5-100% |
150-155 | 99% |
135-150 | 98-99% |
110-134 | 96-98% |
100-110 | 95-96% |
85-95 | 94% |
78-85 | 90% |
Another point to note here is that this percentile is dependent on a lot of factors including, the difficulty level of a shift, the number of candidates actually present in a shift, and the number of candidates scoring more or less than a particular student. If in any instance, two students score the same marks in MHT CET 2021, then the one who has fewer wrong answers gets a higher percentile in the examination.
The authorities have mentioned a formula that helps the candidates with a calculation of percentile on their own. However, owing to a lot of technical factors involved in percentile calculation, nobody can actually calculate the percentile on their own.
After the marks and percentile of MHT CET 2021 are released, candidates would be given an opportunity to appear for the counselling round. Initially, a registration process commences and post successful document verification, the authorities release a merit list. This final merit list is drawn on the basis of the candidate’s rank and percentile in the MHT CET exam.
