Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) Kerala has published the results of 1st semester CBSE 2017 admission batch exam. The results were announced two days ago. However students have have been able to check result since yesterday evening only, as before that, the site was not working.
Students had apparently got to know about the result announcement on Thursday evening itself. That day, around 8 pm, a lot of enquiries started pouring in about the result but no one was able to verify it. Now finally the wait of scores of first semester students comes to an end.
The result is online. To check the same, students have to go to mgu.ac.in and click results. On the results page, click CBCS (2017 admission). Then on the next page, one can see four latest results. They are I semester BBA, BBM, BTS, BFT, BSW CBCS (2018 Admission Regular 2017 Supplementary) Degree Examinations December 2018 Results, I semester B.Sc. For each result, there are two links. One that leads to a login page for checking the result. And the other is a notification for that result. Then, on the login page to check result, select examination name from the drop down, and enter PRN number.
MGU conveys marks obtained by the student in his or her exam through the online result. Statement of marks for each paper, as well as overall status of qualifying or otherwise, is displayed therein.
Next steps regarding the result such as revaluation or rechecking, shall be done by the students as per instructions provided to them via the notifications or as individually proposed by the university or colleges. Registration for second semester and for steps in that direction too, students should contact the university or their colleges.
MG University, Kottayam, Kerala has over 300 colleges affiliated to it. These colleges are located in five or more districts in the state. The number of programs that the varsity, established in 1983 offers, is equally diverse.
Two days ago when the results related news started doing the rounds, there was quite some confusion. Fact being that by the name of MGU, there are other institutes in India as well. And searching for MGU results yields the results of other institutes too. A few of the sites open with an ip address, which led to some confusion on where to check result. However in such cases, in the future, students can check the university logo on websites and be sure of where to login to see results.
The official website of MGU Kerala is mgu.ac.in. Another important update from the university that came earlier this week was regarding postponement of the exams scheduled for October 22, 2019. The university had to postpone its exam in view of the red, orange, and yellow alerts issued by the state government due to heavy rains in the state. New date of the exams will be available in some time.
