Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma, announced on Wednesday that the Meghalaya board exams 2021 will be held as per the schedule. The decision was taken in a high level meeting, which was especially held for reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the state. The decision was announced first via a tweet, at the official twitter handle of the CM, and then via a press release.
The tweet read: “Reviewed the #COVID19 situation in the State. Govt. has decided that the MBOSE exams for Class XII will be held as scheduled. Health Dept. has been instructed to intensify efforts to execute the vaccination drive & also increase the number of vaccination centers. @drharshvardhan.” Check the tweet below:

This decision was released shortly after the Union Education Ministry decided to postpone the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held Class 12 exams. The CBSE class 10 exams have been cancelled and the class 12 exams have been postponed until any further notice. Following this, a lot of boards have postponed and cancelled the exam. However, Meghalaya board exams will be held as decided.

The statement of the Meghalaya CM to the media quoted that “The final exam of MBoSE for class 12 which is to be held on April 16, the government has decided that exams will go on as planned by Education Department.”
The board has ensured that the students should not worry about their safety. The government has taken preventive measures to avoid the spread of the virus. Strict instructions have been given to the education department to ensure that COVID protocols are being followed strictly in the examination centers.

Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) will hold the class 12 exam starting tomorrow. The first exam is on April 16, 2021, for English. On April 19, Sociology /Geology / Entrepreneurship (Commerce) exams are scheduled. MIL/Alternative English will be held on April 20, 2021. History / Entrepreneurship (Vocational) will be held on April 21, 2021. Elective Languages/Biology will be held on April 22, 2021. Psychology /Accountancy / Computer Technique-IV/ Poultry Farming-IV will be held on April 23, 2021. Economics / Chemistry is scheduled to be held on April 26, 2021. Geography is to be held on April 27, 2021. Education exam is on April 28, 2021. Political Science/Business Studies is on April 29, 2021. Philosophy/Physics/Computer Technique –V/Poultry Farming-V is to be held on April 30, 2021.
On May 03, 2021, Anthropology / Computer Technique-VI / Poultry Farming-VI is scheduled. Mathematics is to be held on May 4, 2021. Home Science is on May 5, 2021. Physical Education is on May 6, 2021. Computer Science / Computer Applications / Informatics Practices will be held on May 7, 2021. Vocational Subjects are on May 7, 2021. Music (Western) is scheduled on May 11, 2021, and the last exam, statistics will be held on May 12, 2021.
The class 10th board exams will commence from April 19, 2021. The first exam is English. The next paper: Health & Physical Education/Computer Science/Vocational Subjects is on April 21, 2021. Indian Languages / Additional English paper is on April 23, 2021. Social Science paper is on April 27, 2021, Science and Technology is on April 30, 2021, and the last paper Mathematics is on May 3, 2021.
Seeing the emergence of the second wave of the COVID-19, the government has also decided to reactivate the Community COVID-19 Management Committees (CCMCs) and Behavioural Change Management Committees (BCMCs) which was formed last year.
