What is Percentile Below in MAT 2021 result?
The score card of MAT exam contains score, and a percentile below section. Candidates are enquiring about the same upon checking their results. To answer this, here is an excerpt from the MAT Feb 2021 prospectus, which beautifully explains the percentile below detail.
For each of the six scores mentioned, a percentile below figure is also given. Each of these indicates the percentage of examinees who scored below the candidate based on the entire MAT testing population for the test. The percentile below figure may change marginally with each administration for the same scores.
In essence, the percentile below means the percentage of candidates, who score less than the candidate (who has checked the result, you), in that section. For example, a “99.5” in percentile below section in language comprehension means that 99.5% of the candidates scored less than you in the language comprehension.
