Mahindra University, Hyderabad recently released the official admission notification for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) for the academic year 2021-22. The last date to apply or the first round of SAT interactions was February 16, 2021. Subsequently, the first round of interaction for SAT applicants shall take place on February 18, 2021. However, these students are expected to fulfil other eligibility criteria specified by the authorities. The last date for receiving the application for admissions is July 10, 2021. However, the official dates and schedule are subject to change.
Candidates can also apply for the undergraduate course through their JEE Main 2021 score as well. However, the last date to apply for the first phase of counselling is May 31, 2021. They can apply for the counselling session on the official website of the authorities i.e., mahindraecolecentrale.edu.in.
Authorities have made it mandatory for Indian students to be physically present for the counselling session. However, for PIO and NRI students, the counselling and undergraduate branch allocation shall be done through skype or video conference.
University authorities have specified the eligibility criteria to apply for the undergraduate course. Indian students have to score at least 60% in Class 12 boards or any equivalent exam. Candidates can also apply for this exam by scoring aggregate marks in each subject according to the AICTE or UGC norms or equivalent grade in IB or other recognised boards.
Indian category candidates must also qualify the JEE Main 2021 examination and be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2021. They may also choose to have an All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main 2021 according to the cut-off announced by the authorities after declaration of results.
Candidates can also use their SAT score to apply for admission. However, this score comprising of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry must be a minimum of 1800. The same eligibility criteria are mentioned for PIO or NRI candidates. However, as regards SAT score, they can apply for admissions using a valid SAT subject test score or their General SAT score.
The official website also contains the fee structure for Indian as well as NRI or PIO students per year. Indian category students are expected to pay Rs. 4,50,000 per annum as academic fee and Rs. 2,00,000 as hostel fee. Apart from this, these students are also expected to pay Rs.20,000 as caution deposit. This money is refundable at the end of the programme.
PIO or NRI students are expected to pay USD 9,000 per year as academic fee and USD 3,500 as hostel charges. They are also expected to pay USD 400 as caution deposit. However, this deposit is refundable after the end of programme.
