MAHATET 2021 exam date postponed

Maharashtra State Council of Examination recently issued a notice announcing the rescheduling of the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHATET) 2021 examination. The notice has been published on the official website mahatet.in for candidates’ reference. Accordingly, the state-level eligibility test is going to be held on October 31, 2021. Both papers will be held on the same day, at different time slots. Candidates who have registered for the eligibility test can download their admit cards from October 14, 2021. They are advised to download their hall tickets as soon as possible rather than waiting for the last moment.

According to the official notice issued by the state examination council, the MAHATET 2021 examination was going to be held on October 10, 2021. However, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the Civil Services 2021 preliminary exam on October 10, 2021. Thus, there was a potential clashing of two important exams, creating inconvenience to may students.

Acknowledging this issue, the council has decided on postponing the exam to October 31, 2021. Paper I will be conducted from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm while the second paper will take place from 2:00 to 4:30 pm. Candidates inclined towards Class 1-5 must appear for the first paper while those interested in Class 6-8 must appear for Paper II.

Recently, the examination council decided on extending the registration deadline to September 07, 2021. Due to the extension of deadline, approximately 10 lakh candidates are scheduled to appear for the MAHATET 2021 examination. Apart from extension of application deadline, this exam is conducted after a gap of two consecutive years. Hence, a large number of candidates are appearing for the eligibility exam.

Apart from downloading a taking a printout of the MAHATET 2021 admit card, candidates must also be aware for the exact paper pattern and syllabus followed. Paper I covers important subjects like English, Mathematics, Campus Study, Environmental Studies, Child Psychology & Pedagogy and Marathi. In the same way, Paper II will cover topics like English, Marathi, Social Science, Child Psychology & Pedagogy and Mathematics.

The MAHATET 2021 question paper will cover a total of 150 questions in the multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark to a candidate. Much to the relief of candidates, no marks will be deducted for wrong/unanswered questions. Candidates are advised to prepare for the entrance exam keeping the paper pattern in mind.
