As per latest reports, the results of Maharashtra SSC 2021 (Class X) are expected to be declared by July 15, 2021. As a result of the prevailing conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education could not conduct the Class X final examinations this year. The Board cancelled the exams following in the footsteps of other central and state boards while deciding to evaluate the merit of students on the basis of revised evaluation criteria.
Although the exams could not be held this year due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Board came up with revised evaluation criteria. As per revised evaluation criteria, the Board has taken into consideration the candidates’ performance in both Class IX and X to determine their merits.
As per reports, 50 per cent of the total mark weightage is attributed to the performance of the candidates in Class IX examinations. The remaining 50 per cent marks weightage is attributed to score in internal tests and assessments held by the school internally. These include unit tests and practical examinations of Class X. Maharashtra Minister of Education, Ms Varsha Gaikwad, has recently made an announcement in this regard. She informed that candidates will be given a chance to appear in physical exams and improve their scores if any candidate is not satisfied with the results. Such an exam can be held in due course of time.
