Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared the result for Maharashtra HSC result 2020 on July 16, 2020 at mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in, mahresult.nic.in.
This year, a total of 1413687 students appeared for the exam out of which 1281712 passed the HSC examination. The overall pass percentage for the Maharashtra HSC exam 2020 is 90.66. Girls have performed better than boys in the HSC exam. Out of the 635519 girls appeared for the exam, out of which 596646 (93.88%) passed the examination successfully. Whereas for boys, 685066 passed the exam having an overall pass percentage of 88.04.
In the science stream, a total of 558609 students appeared out of which 541472 (96.93) passed the exam. In the Arts stream, 434028 students appeared and 358644 (82.63) students passed the examination. Whereas for the commerce stream, a total, of 368892 candidates appeared out of which 336703 passed the exam with a pass percentage of 91.27.
The Board follows its own grading system where the students who secure 75% and above get a distinction. Those students who get the percentage 60% and above get the first division. The students getting 45%-59% get the second division. The students with the 35%-44% are declared as passed. Those who secure below 35% are declared as failed by the Board. So, to qualify Maharashtra HSC examination, the students need a minimum of 35% marks.
To check Maharashtra HSC result 2020, the students need to first visit the official website and then, will have to click on the relevant link of the result. After clicking on the relevant link, the students have to enter their roll number and their mother’s first name. Next, the students have to click on the ‘view result’ button to check the results.
