MAHA TET Answer Key 2021 Released by Institutes; Where and How To Check

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination has conducted the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test or MAHA TET 2021 on November 21, 2021. It’s a two-level examination that was held for two papers: Paper I and Paper II. The first paper was for candidates desiring to teach from classes 1 to 5 while the second paper is for classes 6 to 8. Soon after the culmination of the MAHA TET 2021, various coaching institutes and subject experts have released the answer keys on platforms like YouTube.

Now, these answer keys have been compiled by the institutes to help one analyze their tentative scores in the exam. Although unofficial, these answer keys can come in handy for the candidates to crosscheck their answers and calculate a probable score. As per the MAHA TET 2021 syllabus, the first paper or Paper I comprises five subjects – child development and pedagogy, language I, language II, mathematics and environmental studies. There are 20 questions for each subject with 30 marks. Similarly, Paper II has four subjects.

The first three subjects are child development and pedagogy, language I, and language II. Each subject has 30 questions for 30 marks. The remaining fourth subject is choice-based as candidates have to choose between mathematics and science or social studies. It has 60 questions comprising 60 marks. Thus, each paper of MAHA TET 2021 was for 150 marks. The marking scheme is such that for every correct answer, 01 mark is awarded but there is no negative marking for the incorrect ones.

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, deprived castes or nomadic tribes, special backward classes, OBC, economically weaker, and disabled candidates must get 60% marks in the examination to be considered eligible for MAHA TET 2021. This information is as per the official website mahatet.in.

The examination is conducted every year to assess the eligibility of teachers who are recruited in the various schools. Candidates qualifying for the examination are issued a certificate that now holds a lifetime validity.
