Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF) has announced the scholarship scheme for the girl students belonging to the minority communities. These minority communities include Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains. This scholarship award will be given to girl students from class 9th to 12th. Furthermore, the last date to apply for the scholarship is September 15, 2018.
By September 30, 2018, you can collect the receipt of the printed application forms with the relevant documents from the office of MAEF.
Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship is the name of the scholarship which is going to be awarded to Meritorious Girls students. As per the scheme, Rs. 10,000 each i.e (Rs. 5000 in class 9th and Rs. 5000 in class 10th). Similarly, Rs. 12000 each i.e (Rs. 6000 in class 11th and 6000 in class 12th).
Under the scholarship scheme, students must fulfill the following criteria in order to apply for the scholarship.
A student must be a girl student belonging to the six minority communities. Along with this, a student must be studying in class 9th to 12th who scored 50% marks or equivalent aggregate in the previous class. In addition to this his/ her parents/ guardians, annual income from all sources must not more than 2 lakh rupees. For this desired students must also submit the income certificate of parents and guardians issued by the Competent Authority declared by the State Government/UTs Administration.

To apply for the scholarship visit its official website- maef.nic.in. Then click on the ‘Girls Scholarship Tab’. After that, a new window will open. Select the third option- Apply online registration for the year 2018-19. Again a new window will appear on your screen. Here on the topmost side click on the ‘Registration’ tab. Your application form will appear on the screen. Here you have to fill the form in four stages.

Once you applied successfully for the scholarship the desired amount will be directly transferred to the applicant’s account through DBT (Direct Beneficiary Transfer mode).
Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship was earlier referred as Maulana Azad National Scholarship. This scheme came into the existence in the year 2003-04. Under this scheme meritorious girl students belonging to the national minority communities awarded with this scholarship. This scheme was introduced with the aim of providing the financial help to those meritorious girl students who not able to continue their education due to the lack of financial support. Till today around 3,89,838 girl students have provided with Rs. 392.75 crore. At the same time, this scheme is increasing day by day.
