The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has released the results of the Lower Secondary Scholarship (LSS) and Upper Secondary Scholarship (USS) on its official website. The examination was held on December 18, 2021. Students who appeared in the examination can download their results from the official website of KPB keralapareekshabhavan.in. The examination was conducted to avail scholarships to eligible students from classes 4 and 7.
LSS/USS Result Out – What now?
Students can check the result by entering their respective registration number obtained while filling the application form, and date of birth on the LSS/USS result portal at bpekerala.in. Now that the results are declared, following are the pointers students must note for further procedures.
In case seats remain vacant
Students who appeared in the examination can check their results by using their registration number and date of birth. A minimum mark of 60% has to be scored for the LSS exam, and 70% for the USS exam for the qualification, as prescribed by the authorities. For the seats allocated to the reserved categories, in case any remains vacant owing to the inability to obtain the cut-off marks, the student scoring the highest mark will be considered for the scholarship. He/she should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the examination to be selected.
Re-evaluation
Students can also apply for the revaluation of their answer scripts within 7 days of publication of the result, as per the official document. The scholarship amount will be distributed from the scholarship cell at the office of the Kerala Education Director at the beginning of the next academic year.
Scholarship Details
The scholarship will be given to the top 20 rank holders in each sub-district. The qualifying students must score marks above the prescribed cut-off to be eligible for the scholarship. Out of the 20 slots, 15 seats are reserved for the general category, 2 for SC, and 1 each for ST, OEC, and CWSN.
The amount and distribution of the scholarship will be decided by the Kerala government. However, according to the Youtube channel Edu Win, in the previous years, students qualifying the LSS examination were given an amount of Rs 1000 per year for 3 years which accounts for a total of 3000. The scholarship amount for the USS qualifying candidates was Rs 1500, also given for 3 years totalling to 4500.

The final decision pertaining to the scholarship amount rests with the government each year. The scholarship is available for students studying in government-aided schools in Kerala.
