Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force invites online applications for Deputy Judge Attorney General (Group ‘A’) in a pay scale level 11 of pay matrix. Law graduates or postgraduates with seven or five years of legal practice respectively, who love challenges can apply for this post from today, August 20, 2019.
ITBP is a central armed police force under the Ministry of home affairs, government of India. It was formed in the year 1962 as a border guarding police force. It looks after duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh. The officers are professionally trained to be mountaineers and skiers.
To participate in ITBP Deputy JAG recruitment having 6 vacancies, any candidate with a bachelor’s / masters degree in Law is eligible to apply. A minimum of seven years of experience is required for bachelors degree holders and five years in case of master degree holders. Also, one should be qualified for enrollment as an Advocate. Other than this, the age limit to apply for this post is 40 years (i.e not born earlier than 19/09/1979).
Besides the educational criteria, there is a physical requirement of a height of 165 cm for male and 157 cm for female. Other than that, a chest requirement of 81 cms unexpanded and 86 cms expanded is a must for male candidates. Whereas the weight should be proportionate to height and age.
Applicants can apply online on recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in until September 18, 2019. A unique registration id and password (for login) will be provided to the candidate’s email address by ITBP. After login, it is mandatory to fill up all the specific inputs such as father’s name, educational details, nationality, etc. Then they have to upload digital images of photograph (30 to 100kb) and signature (15 to 30kb) in jpeg / jpg. An application fee of Rs 400 is required to submit by a male candidate. SC / ST / female are exempted from paying.
The recruitment to the post of Deputy Judge Attorney General comprises of two phases. Phase I is a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) under which a candidate has to qualify in 100 meter race, 800 meter race, long jump and shot put. Those qualify will have to meet the requirements of physical standard measurements. After that there will be verification of original documents. Candidates who qualify in documentation will be called for written exam (phase II). The written test will be of 200 marks. After written test, they will be called for interview (phase III). Thereafter, a medical exam – phase IV detailed medical exam, and phase V review medical exam will be conducted as per the medical guidelines laid down by MHA, GOI.
The appointees will be serving in the force for a minimum period of 10 years. If any officer resigns before 10 years, he/she will have to refund a sum equal to three month’s pay and allowances attached to the post.
