Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the first list of Class 1 admission. Parents can access the KVS Admission List Class 1 online through kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. They can check the KVS admission list at respective Kendriya Vidyalaya websites as well.
On June 23, 2021, Sangathan published the first allotment list after being postponed several times due to COVID-19 restrictions. To check the KVS Admission list, parents have to visit the official website, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. Moreover, click on the link available on the homepage to check the lottery results. Thereafter, login using the login code, date of birth of a child, mobile number and the captcha code. Then, check the name of the children on the allotment list.
While preparing the list, KVS has given priority to children and grandchildren of the working and retired government employees, defence personnel. “15% seats are for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% seats are for Scheduled Tribes (ST) and 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) are reserved in all fresh admissions in all Kendriya Vidyalayas”. With this, 3% seats of the total seats for fresh admission are horizontally reserved for differently-abled children as per the provisions of the RTE Act, 2009.
A second and third admission list will be published if the seats remain vacant after the first allotment list. The second list is expected to release on June 30, 2021 followed by the third list on July 05, 2021. The lists will be published on the respective KVS websites and KVS Admission Portal. Declaration of a provisional select list of candidates based on priority service category for unreserved seats will be issued from July 02, 2021, to July 06, 2021. Currently, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is running a chain of 1248 Kendriya Vidyalayas in 25 different zones.
Moreover, for admission to class 1, a child must be between the age limit of 05 years to 07 years as on March 31, 2021. However, school principals can give age relaxation up to 02 years in the upper age limit for differently-abled students. For KVS class 1 admission confirmation, parents need to produce date of birth proof, domicile certificates, caste certificate and proof of service of parents. As a date of birth proof, birth certificates from Notified Area Council / Municipal Corporation/ Municipality are accepted. Provided that the date of birth is extracted from records of Military Hospital and service records of Defence personnel, Village Panchayat.
Further, the KVS class 2 admissions list will be published on the website on June 24, 2021 at 04:00 PM. Parents and guardians are advised to keep an eye on the official website, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in for the publication of the list.
