Kendriya Vidyalaya KVS has announced that the admission list for class 1 students will be released after April 30, 2021. The provisional admission list for class 1 which was supposed to be announced by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan on April 23 was postponed due to the huge rise in the number of COVID-19 cases all over the country.
The first provisional select list for admission to Class 1 in KV can be checked by the parents from the official website, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. After the provisional list is released, parents will have to submit certain documents for admission like the certificate of the age of proof in the form of a birth certificate, proof of residence, certificate of retirement for uniformed defense employees, caste certificate (if applicable), PWD certificate (if applicable), for grandchildren of members of Parliament and PSU employees, proof of the relationship of either of the child’s parents with them, for grandchildren of KVS employee, proof of relationship of either of the child’s parent with the KVS employee.
Earlier, KVS had given its green signal for online registration for admission to Class I for the academic session 2021-22 to start from April 1. The registration continued till 7 pm on April 19. Meanwhile, registration for the class was done from April 8 to April 15. It was first informed that the first list of provisionally selected candidates would be declared by the respective schools on April 23, however, the same could not be done as almost all the schools were closed amid COVID-19 related restrictions.
Later, on April 28, the Joint Commissioner (Academics) of KVS, Priya Thakur, issued a letter to deputy commissioners of all 25 regions of the KVS, informing that the class 1st admission should be done after April 30, 2021, (instead of April 23), depending on the situation.
The Deputy Commissioners (DCs) will also decide on the display of the admission list from classes 2 to 9 as per the exigencies of the respective states.
Furthermore, it has been decided by the KVS not to conduct the admission test for class 9. The admission will be done on the basis of the priority category.
