KVPY 2019 Admit Card Released, Download @ kvpy.iisc.ernet.in

Exam for SA, SB, SX is on 3rd November.

KVPY 2019 Admit Card

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has released the admit card of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2019. The KVPY 2019 admit card can be downloaded at kvpy.iisc.ernet.in. Only students who had submitted their application form by the deadline can do so. The fellowship exam for class 11th, 12th, and first year college students will be held on November 3, 2019.

How to download KVPY Admit Card 2019?

As promised by the exam conducting body, the admit card has been released in the second week of October. To download it, students need to visit kvpy.iisc.ernet.in and click link in front of message “KVPY 2019 Download Admit Card”. The text is in green color, and the link is in yellow/orange.

Clicking the link opens the candidate login page. Here, student needs to login with user ID, and password. On the same page, clicking forgot password link opens a second form. Here, by entering user ID candidate can reset the password.

The KVPY admit card contains exam city, stream, roll number, name of applicant, application number, date of birth. It also displays the exam date, timing, reporting time, exam center with address. 

What to take to the exam center?

Students appearing in the KVPY exam must take their school or college identity card along with other valid ID proof with a clear photograph, to the exam center. Anyone without the admit card and ID proof, or documents listed in the admit card will not be allowed to enter the hall. 

The reporting time is at least one hour before the exam starts. Upon reaching the center, students can see which room number he or she has to sit in. 

The exam time for stream SA is 9.30 am to 12.30 am. Students should report by 8.30 am. SB/SX stream exams will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm, and last reporting time is 1 pm.

No one will be allowed to carry electronic devices, calculators, or anything besides the allowed documents to the center. Mobile phone, iPod, portable hard disc, pen drive, data card, pagers and all such items will also be prohibited. Moreover there will not be any promised place to safely keep such items. Hence students are advised against carrying them to the center.

There will be virtual calculator on the screen.

Officials at center shall not allow students to leave before lapse of 90 minutes from start of exam.

KVPY 2019 is being conducted for three groups of students – SA, SX, SB. SA stream refers to students who are in class 11th science subjects and had secured at least 75% (65% for SC, ST, PWD) in total of maths and science in class 10th.

Likewise SX means students in class 12th. They should have had at least 75% (65% for SC, ST, PWD) in total of maths and science in class 10th. Also they must get 60% (50% for SC, ST, PWD) in maths and science in class 12th.

SB stream is the group of students in first year of undergraduate program in sciences. They must have had at least 60% (50% for SC, ST, PWD) in maths and science in class 12th, and get the same in 1st year final exam of the UG programme.

KVPY is a unique initiative that motivates young minds of the country to take up science subjects with the intent of pursuing a career in research and studies. The fellowship is awarded to a select few only. IISC also offers admission on the basis of KVPY scores.
