Karnataka State Fire & Emergency Services Announced 1567 Vacancies for SSLC, Degree holders, Apply Now!

Karnataka State Fire & Emergency Services Department is receiving online applications for Fireman, Fire Driver/Driver Mechanic and Fire Station Officer posts till July 20, 2020

The Karnataka State Fire & Emergency Services Department, Bangalore has published recruitment advertisements inviting applications to fill up multiple vacancies. The vacancies are for the posts of Fireman, Firemen Driver/Driver Mechanic, and Fire Station Officer. The detailed notifications are available for download at the website of Karnataka State Police i.e. ksp.gov.in. A total of 1567 vacancies are announced having 1222 openings for the post of Firemen, 309 openings for the post of Firemen Driver/Driver Mechanic, and 36 openings for the post of Fire Station Officer. Eligible candidates can apply online at the official Karnataka State Police website i.e. ksp.gov.in after carefully going through the detailed advertisements for each post category. The online application process started on June 22, 2020. The last date to apply online is July 20, 2020.

In order to apply for the posts of firemen, Fire Driver/Driver Mechanic, candidates must be within the age range of 18 to 28 years and have passed Class 10th exam from a recognized board/institute. In addition, those applying for the post of Fire Driver/Driver Mechanic must be having the license to drive Heavy Motor Vehicle. The knowledge of the Kannada language is a must for all candidates applying to these posts. Candidates aspiring to apply for the post of Fire Station Officer must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not be over the maximum permissible age of 26 years. In terms of the educational qualifications, in order to apply for the post of Fire Station Officer, one must have a graduate degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects of graduation.

In order to apply for the aforementioned vacant positions, candidates are required to visit the official KSP website i.e. ksp.gov.in, and fill up the application form. An application fee of Rs 250 must be deposited by unreserved candidates using the bank challan method. For specific candidates belonging to categories of SC/ST and Cat-1, the fee is subsidized to Rs 100 only. The online application form must be filled with all the correct information. Candidates found to have furnished incorrect information is liable to get their candidature canceled.

The selection of candidates is done first on the basis of qualifying through various physical tests. The different physical tests are indicated in the detailed notification. Candidates applying for the post of Firemen, Fire Driver/Driver Mechanic are shortlisted on the basis of merit. Those applying for the post of Fire Station Officer must, however, take a written test and qualify in it. The final merit list is prepared after qualifying through the medical tests as indicated in the official advertisements.
