KRLMPCA CET 2021 will be held for admission of the candidates in the BE courses offered by the member institutes of the association. This Association is having 3 Medical Colleges, 5 Dental Colleges, and 14 Engineering Colleges as its members. For admission to medical and dental colleges, only NEET scores will be used.
The UG courses offered by these colleges are MBBS (Medical), BDS (Dental), and BE (Engineering). The PG courses offered are MD (Medical), and MDS (Dental).
The Karnataka Religious & Linguistic Minority Colleges Association, Bangalore is functioning since January 2004. The Association conducts 2 entrance tests annually: One for Post Graduation and another for Under Graduation. The Association conducts the Entrance Tests followed by Counselling.
The pattern of the exam as per last year is that the exam is an offline exam. The questions in the exam come from Physics and Chemistry (Paper 1) and Mathematics (Paper 2). The exam is held in English language only and for 3 hours. The total number of questions in the exam is 180 MCQs (60 questions per subject). There is no negative marking in the exam and each question carries 1 mark.
Since the examination is held for admission to the Engineering course at the UG level, the level of difficulty of the paper is as per the syllabus of 10+2.
Last year, the KRLMPCA released the result in the form of a merit/rank list of candidates. The merit list is drawn based on the score in the CET exam. Qualifying candidates are called for admission to the BE course through counselling.
