Konkan Railways has released a notification advertising the 58 vacant posts Technician-III in Electrical departments. Aspirants who have passed 10th class can submit their applications online. The last date to apply for Konkan Railways recruitment is November 27, 2020. The CBT exam is tentatively scheduled in December 2020. Out of the total 58 vacancies, 04 are reserved for EWS, 03 are for OBC, 14 are for SC, 05 are for ST. The remaining 32 vacancies are for unreserved category candidates. Those who are recruited under these vacancies get monthly salary under 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 02.
Candidates should have the technical and educational qualification that is specified in the notification. Those who have passed 10th class and possess ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/ SCVT can submit their applications. The ITI should be in the trade of Electrician/ Mechanic HT, LT Equipments and Cable Jointing/ Wireman/ Electronics Mechanic. Those who have passed 10th and have CCAA in trades as specified earlier can also apply. Candidate’s age should not be more than that of 33 years.
Applications for Konkan railways recruitment is accepted only through online mode. So, eligible candidates can submit their applications by visiting konkanrailways.com. While applying, aspirants have to enter the details such as name, father’s name and date of birth as recorded in the 10th certificate. Also, keep a valid email address, mobile number, photograph, signature, 10th certificate while submitting the form. It is important to note down the registration number and take a print out of the submitted form for future reference.
The online fee payment can be done through internet banking or using the debit/credit card. The last date to pay the fee is November 27, 2020. SC/ST/Ex-serviceman/ Female/ Minorities/ Economically backward class have to pay Rs. 250/- as the fee. Whereas, the rest of the candidates should pay an application fee of Rs. 500/-. The fee submitted by reserved category candidates shall be refunded on appearing the Computer Based Test (after the deduction of bank charges).
Eligible candidates are called for Computer Based Test (CBT) which is qualifying in nature. There shall be negative marking for the incorrect answer of 1/3rd marks allocated to the question. The syllabus and examination pattern for CBT is available in the notification itself. Aspirants who are able to secure minimum 50% marks (40% marks for OBC-NCL/SC/ST) are shortlisted for Document Verification round. Thereafter, aspirants are invited for medical examination round.
