KL deemed to be University has released the exam date and the rest of the schedule for KLEEE 2020. Previously known by the name KLUEEE, the Koneru Lakshmaiah engineering entrance exam for undergraduate engineering programs, will be held in two phases, I and II.
In phase I, the exam will be held from December 16, 2019, to December 22, 2019. Whereas in phase II it will be conducted from April 13, 2020, to April 20, 2020. For the first one, application forms are being accepted until December 10, 2019. And the last date to apply for the latter is April 7, 2020.
Admit cards will be released on December 13, 2019, and April 10, 2020 for phase I and II respectively.That is three days after the registrations close each time.
There are two modes of applying for the engineering entrance exam. One is online via kluniversity.in. And the other is offline, in person.
To apply online, candidates need to go to kluniversity.in, open the menu and click admissions, then UG admissions, and then KLEEE 2020. On the page that opens, click application form link. The application fee to be paid in this case will be Rs 900, to be paid in online mode via credit card, debit card, net banking.
Whereas to obtain the form in person, candidate has to take a self addressed envelope, remit Rs 1000 in fee by cash or DD. The deemed to be university has also provided a model paper and syllabus for the exam. The model paper contains four sections – physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany – with 40 questions each.
After the exam, results will be declared on December 25, 2019, for phase I, and on April 23, 2020, for phase II. Counselling for both phases will be done together in the first week of May 2020. Classes shall commence at KLU in first week of June 2020. Exact dates for counselling shall be available post results.
Koneru Lakshmaiah deemed to be university, Andhra Pradesh, engineering entrance exam is taking place twice a year just like JEE Mains. The Joint Entrance Examination being conducted by NTA will take place in January and April. The Jan exam is from January 6, 2020, to January 11, 2020. Whereas the April exam will be from April 3, 2020, to April 9, 2020. As can be seen, exam dates of KLEEE are quite different from the JEE and do not clash.
Prior to this, other engineering entrance exams whose details have been partially or completely announced include VITEEE 2020, MET 2020, PESSAT 2020, LPUNEST 2020, UPES 2020. In India, the NTA JEE Mains is the national level exam, for NITs, IIITs, and various other engineering colleges. In addition a number of state level and institute level engineering entrance exams are held every year for BE/B.Tech admissions.
