KEA did not fix a particular date for KCET 2018 result declaration, initially. However now there are reports that result will be published by May 30. The reports are backed by analysis of result declaration being linked to board exams results announcements. Recently the exam conducting body has started marks filling link.
Students who have appeared for this year’s KCET 2018 Exam can now expect their results any time soon. KEA, the conducting body of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) has recently given an option to students to enter their board exam marks. According to the reports, the results of KCET 2018 might be declared by the end of May 2018. The expected date of KCET 2018 result declaration is by May 30.
The results will be available on the official website kea.kar.nic.in. Considering the volume of traffic, the students can check their results with the help of links from unofficial websites also. They will provide the links through which the candidates will be able to check their KCET Results.
KCET 2018 was held from April 18, to April 20. Scores of candidates appear for this exam. It is conducted for admissions to B. Tech programmes in various colleges in the state of Karnataka. Universities, government colleges and private institutes.
Those who have given KCET 2018 Exam, can follow simple steps to check KCET 2018 results. First of all, visit the official website of Karnataka Examination Authority. Then navigate to results link. A new window will pop up. Here the candidate will have to enter the registration Number. The registration number will be available on KCET 2018 Admit Card.
Click on the Submit button which is given at the bottom. The student will be able to see their KCET 2018 Results. They are advised to take 2-3 printouts of the scorecard.
This year, about 1.98 lakh students took the exam to secure admissions to the best engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. Last year, around 1,78,959 students had turned up for the KCET 2017 Examination. Out of the total candidates, around 125860 candidates qualified the exam and were called for the counselling process.
KCET is conducted in offline mode. Those who appear in this exam students have to give exams separately for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. There is a separate Kannada Language Test as well. This test takes place in Bangalore only and is given by those who claim reservations under state quota.
After the KCET 2018 results, students will appear for the counselling process. The candidates will be called for counselling based on the ranks obtained by the candidates in the merit list. To qualify for the counselling, candidates will have to score minimum cutoff.
This year, KEA is planning to come up with an app to help students during the counselling process. This app will contain various features which will help the candidates solve their query for the counselling process. Through this app, the candidate will be able to get their documents verified online. Till now, the candidates had to go to the centre to get their documents verified.
