Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has decided to postpone the KCET 2021 Examination in the wake of COVID-19. The Karnataka state is presently recording a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases each day. The Authority has thus decided to defer the exam. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2021 will now take place in August 2021.
The KCET exam is a state-level common entrance test that provides admission to the engineering, architecture, yoga & naturopathy, veterinary, farm science, pharmacy courses. The conducting body has not yet released the application schedule for the KCET exam 2021. However, the entrance exam now stands postponed. With the rise of the second wave of coronavirus, The KEA has decided to defer the exam for a few months.

The KCET 2021 exam will now take place on August 28, 29, 2021. The Biology (first shift) and Mathematics (second shift) exam are scheduled for August 28, 2021. Examination for Physics and Chemistry subjects will take place on August 29, 2021, first and second shift respectively. The Kannada Language Test is rescheduled to August 30, 2021. As per the revised schedule, the Kannada Language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga aspirants will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM for the first shift and 2:30 pm and 3:50 pm for the second shift.
The Entrance Examination for KCET 2021 was earlier scheduled for July 07, 08, 2021. However, Karnataka is presently battling with the second wave and each day India is recording a minimum of 2 lakh cases. This has led to the cancellation and postponement of several national and state-level examination. As per the resources, the KCET Application Form 2021 was earlier expected to commence from March 2021. Due to some unarticulated reasons, the online link has been activated yet. Due to COVID-19 and the postponement of the 2nd PUC Exam 2021, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has rescheduled the KCET exam date. As a result, the schedule for KCET admit card 2021 release is also changed. Candidates are advised to check the official website, kea.kar.nic.in, to get further latest updates on KCET 2021 Exam.
Moreover, the state level entrance is for those candidates who wish to take admission in engineering, architecture, yoga & naturopathy, veterinary, farm science, pharmacy courses. Candidates must have passed 12th class with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology to be eligible for the KCET exam 2021. Both Indians and Foreign candidates can apply for KCET. However, only Indian candidates are eligible for admission to Government seats through KCET scores. Moreover, there is no specified age limit for the exam except for B.Pharma, Pharma-D, Naturopathy & Yoga which is 17 years.
