KCET 2018: KEA Releases Admit Card Today; Last Date To Download It Is 15 April

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the admit card of KCET 2018 today, on April 6. Candidates can download admit card, also known as hall ticket now. It is available at official website kea.kar.nic.in. In order to download admit card, one has to login using application number and date of birth. Apart from admit card, KEA has also released important instructions for day of exam.

KCET 2018 is scheduled to be held on April 18 and 19. On April 18, biology paper will be conducted from 10:30 am to 11:50 am, then mathematics paper will be from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm. Then on April 19, physics paper is from 10:30 am to 11:50 am, and after that chemistry paper is from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm. Horanadu and Gadinadu candidates need to also appear in a Kannada language test, also being conducted by KEA. It is on April 20 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Minimum passing marks in language test is 12 out of 50.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET 2018 is the state level entrance exam for admissions to first year or first semester of full time courses for government share of seats in engineering, technology, b. pharma, 2nd year b.pharma, pharma-d courses and farm science courses detailed below, in government / university / private aided / private un-aided professional educational institutions in the state of karnataka for the academic year 2018-19. Answer key of KCET 2018 will be available after exam.

Calculator or log tables are not allowed. Candidates cannot carry any modern electronic equipments, gadgets, pagers, mobile phones, bluetooth, markers, white fluid, calculator, wireless sets, bits of paper, books / note. If anyone has any of these items, then that candidate is booked under unfair means.

Watches are also not allowed. Bell timings and caution bells will be rung at exam center so that test takers can keep track of time. Candidates can practise time management using past year papers of KCET.

You must have KCET 2018 admit card, one valid photo identity card like passport, aadhar card, pan card, college identity card, 2 nd pu or 12th std examination admission ticket, bus pass. To write exam, you need black or blue ball point pen. You can only carry two or three pens. Do not take pencil.

Candidates must appear for exam as per timing specified by KEA. Latecomers do not get entry to exam hall. Each candidate gets a unique OMR sheet. When a candidate gets OMR sheet in the exam hall, they should see that the admission ticket number, name are correct. In addition, the sheet will also have version code. So one must also confirm whether question paper code on omr sheet and question paper are same or not.

During exam or at beginning of it, candidates will be asked to sign in nominal roll. Here they must also fill version code and serial number.

Candidates also have to affix complete signature and left hand thumb impression at bottom portion of OMR sheet. Care must be taken to ensure that timing and marks in omr sheet is not obliterated in any way.

Candidates should listen to instructions given by invigilators. Those who do not abide by rules will be booked under unfair means.

One should appear for exam only at assigned test centre. Check KCET 2018 admit card for exam centre address. You can visit it a day in advance to be able to reach it on time on day of exam.

In exam hall, third bell will ring at 10:40 am / 2:40 pm. One should not remove seal at right side of question paper before this third bell. It is also not allowed to peek inside paper before that. It goes without saying that you also cannot start marking answers before that.

Remove seal after third bell. Ensure that all pages are there in booklet and no page s torn or damaged. If it is, then it should be replaced at once.

KCET 2018 question booklet shall have 60 questions. There will be four different options in each question. Candidates need to select most appropriate answer. There is negative marking also in the exam. Questions will be printed in English as well as Kannada.

Duration of exam is seventy minutes. Read each question. Solve it. Then see which option it matches. Mark that option in omr sheet. You should only mark most appropriate answer. Correct way to mark answers is as follows.

Do not write anything else on the omr sheet which may disclose identity or be abusive or anything that comes under unfair means. Also keep in mind that you cannot change answers using white fluid. You can only use black or blue ball point pen.

KEA will announce result of KCET 2018 in May or June. Candidates will be able to check score and rank in online mode. After result announcement, there will be document verification and option entry.
