II Pre-University Course (PUC) 2021 results have been announced today, July 20, 2021, at 4:30 pm by the Department of Pre-University Education (PUE), Karnataka. Students can check their results on the official websites karresults.nic.in and pue.kar.nic.in. Originally, results were announced in a press conference at 4:00 pm followed by the publishing of results on the official portals. 5,90,153 students had registered for this year’s II PUC exams and all of them have passed. Thus, the pass percentage has increased to 100% in 2021 as opposed to last year when the percentage was 61.80%.
Statistics for Karnataka II PUC 2021 results
This year, about 5,90,153 students had registered for the Karnataka II PUC 2021 exams and all of them have been promoted to the next stage. As many as 1,95,650 students have also achieved distinction. In 2021, girls have again managed to outshine the boys in terms of passing percentage. The same was announced by S Suresh Kumar, the state education minister during today’s press conference.
On another positive note, results this year witnessed an increase of 30% in the first-class students, 50% increase in second class and 20% increase in third class results from last year. As compared to last year this year saw a 33 per cent increase in the number of students scoring distinction marks
According to S Suresh Kumar, a total of 76,344 repeaters were scheduled to appear for the II PUC 2021 exams. They too have been promoted to the next stage by KSEEB authorities.
While fresh and repeater batch students have successfully passed II PUC 2021, private candidates have to appear for the exams at a later stage, as and when they are conducted. Results for the same shall be announced subsequently by the concerned department.
Top 5 districts with the highest number of full-mark scorers
As many as 2,239 students managed to score 600 on 600 marks in the II PUC 2021 evaluation. Therefore, the top 5 districts with the maximum students securing full marks is –

#2 Bengaluru South – 302
#3 Bengaluru North – 261
#4 Udupi – 149
#5 Hassan – 104
Streamwise statistics in II PUC
A streamwise passing percentage has also increased considerably this year in comparison to last year. In 2021, as many as 2,19,777 students in the Science stream has passed standard 12. Similarly, 2,51,686 Commerce stream students and 69,529 students in the Arts stream have passed this year.
In 2020, the passing percentage in the Science stream was 76.2% whereas it was 65.52% in the case of the Commerce stream. In the Arts stream, the passing percentage was 41.27% in 2020. However, this year, the state decided to promote all students as physical exams could not be held owing to the prevailing COVID-19 conditions. Therefore, the passing percentage in each stream has increased to 100%.
Schedule for II PUC 2021 offline exams
Candidates who are not satisfied with the II PUC 2021 results can appear for the full-fledged offline exams from August 19 to September 03, 2021. Interested candidates can register for the exams on or before July 31, 2021. During this session, students enrolled as repeaters will be considered freshers. This is a tentative timetable and may be subjected to changes if the prevailing situation demands it.
