Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission is inviting eligible candidates for the post of Medical Officer. The official advertisement with Notification No: 01- PSC (DR-P) OF 2020 can be downloaded from jkpsc.nic.in. JKPSC has announced 900 vacancies for Medical Officer posts. A written examination for the selection is scheduled for November 01, 2020, tentatively. Aspirants who are shortlisted under this post receives a monthly salary of Rs.52700-166700 (Level 9). The application procedure for the said posts starts from August 05, 2020, onwards. Eligible candidates can submitter forms up to September 04, 2020.
Candidates intending to apply for Medical Officer posts must possess MBBS or Graduate Medical qualification as included in the first and Second Schedule or part-II of the 3rd Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. In addition, they must have registered with the Medical Council of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir or Medical Council of India. The age of the eligible candidates is calculated as on January 01, 2020. The minimum age limit for JKPSC recruitment is 18 years. The upper age limit for the in-service candidates is 40 years. However, age relaxation on the upper age limit is provided to the reserved category. The maximum age limit of Physically Challenged candidates is 42 years, for candidates belonging to RBA/SC/ST/ALC/SLC/PSP/EWS categories is 43 years and for Ex-serviceman is 48 years.
To submit the application form, candidates are required to visit the official website, jkpsc.gov.in. They are first required to register themselves through the ‘one time registration’ portal. After the successful registration, use the login details provided to sill up the JKPSC Medical Officer application form. While filling the form, candidates are asked to enter details such as personal details, educational qualification, service details another relevant information.
After the successful submission of the application form, candidates can proceed to submit the fee. It can be submitted by following the online mode. General category candidates have to pay Rs. 400/-, Reserved category candidates have to pay Rs. 200/- as application fee. Physically handicap candidate are exempted from the JKPSC recruitment fee submission. After the fee submission candidates are advised to take a look at the application fee transaction status. Do not forget to take a clear print out of the filled-in application form.
To select eligible candidates for the announced posts of Medical Officer, JKPSC conducts a written examination. The level of this examination of NEET (PG) exam. There will be multiple choice questions carrying 100 marks that candidates have to answer.
