Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education has postponed the Kashmir Division board exams. JKBOSE has notified the students by giving them the notification on the official website jkbose.jk.gov.in. So, the students who were going to appear for the board exams will get the new date sheet very soon. JKBOSE chairperson Veena Pandita has stated that the exams scheduled on October 22, 2018, Monday stand postponed and the examination dates will be announced later.
JKBOSE Kashmir Division Exams were scheduled to be conducted from October 22, 2018, and the last date for the exams was November 15, 2018. The date sheet was released for the private candidates of Tehsil Gurez, Karen, Machil, and Tangdhar. So, for the students, the board has mentioned on the website that the board exams of Kashmir Division have been postponed. The new dates have not been specified yet for the board exams. However, the board exams of winter zone for the Jammu division, Kargil, and Leh division will be held in the specified time and dates.
In the date sheet, it is mentioned that the candidates must bring the admit card or the registration card on the exam hall for the verification. After the termination of the theory exams, the practical exams shall be conducted. Candidates will have to appear for the board exams at the specified exam centre. Otherwise, the students will not be able to enroll in the exams.
Not only the JKBOSE board exams but also the exams of the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) have been postponed. The Controller of Examinations, University Of Kashmir stated that the exams for the BG 1st semester were also scheduled on October 22, 2018. So, the IUST has postponed the BG 1st sem exams. Now the exams will be conducted on Wednesday i.e. on October 24, 2018. Meanwhile the one-day workshop on ‘Waqf Administration in Jammu & Kashmir: Law and Practice’ scheduled on 22 October 2018 at the Nowgam-I academic block of the Central University of Kashmir has also been postponed. The next date for the workshop will be notified very soon.
