The Jharkhand Staff Service Commission (JSSC) has released the notification for Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination– 2022 at its official website jssc.nic.in. Candidates can apply online at the official website by paying a fee of Rs. 100. The application fee for SC/ ST candidates belonging to Jharkhand is Rs. 50. The exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates into the 583 vacancies for post of constable in the state of Jharkhand. Candidates can apply from February 25 to March 26, 2022. The edit window will be open from April 02 to April 04, 2022.
Eligibility Criteria for the Jharkhand Excise Constable exam
- Candidates who have passed the Class 10 exams can apply for the exam.
- Candidates should be atleast 18 years of age.
- The upper age limit for Unreserved category and EWS candidates is 25 years. For candidates belonging to Extremely Backward Classes and Backward Classes the upper age limit is 27 years. For female candidates the maximum age limit is 28 years and for SC/ ST male and female candidates, the maximum age limit is 30 years.

How to apply for Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination– 2022?
Step 1: Go to the official website of JSSC, jssc.nic.in.
Step 2: Under ‘Important Links’, click on ‘Application Forms (Apply).
Step 3: Now, click on the link for ‘Online Application Form for Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination– 2022’.
Step 4: Candidates will be taken to a new page. Select ‘New Registration’ tab on the right side of the screen.
Step 5: Next, enter personal details, educational details and contact details. Click on ‘Submit and Continue’.
Step 6: Now, candidates can upload the relevant documents and proceed to payment.
Step 7: After the payment is made, the application process is complete. Candidates should take a print out of the application form.
Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Exam 2022 Exam Pattern
The exam is conducted in 3 phases- Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Medical Examination. There are no marks awarded for physical fitness. It is only a qualifying test, based on which candidates will be called up for the written exam. Candidates who secure the minimum category-wise marks will qualify. These candidates will have to undergo a medical exam prior to the recruitment. The final recruitment will be made taking into consideration the marks scored in the written exam, the reservation policies and the vacancies. The pay scale ranges from Rs. 19,900 to 63,200.
