West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTE) issued a public notice on March 25, 2021, on the official website webscte.co.in. The public notice is pertaining to the postponement of the JEXPO and VOCLET 2021 registration link release. The registration link for both these exams was scheduled to release on March 25, 2021. However, the date has now been postponed and the new date shall be notified in due course. JEXPO stands for Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnic whereas VOCLET stands for Vocational Education and Skill Development.
WBSCTE issued a notification on March 25, 2021, on the official website webscte.co.in regarding the postponement of the release of the registration link. According to the notification issued on March 09, 2021, the online application form for JEXPO and VOCLET 2021 was scheduled to release on March 25, 2021. The notification was posted on the council’s website as well as in the daily newspapers.
The council subsequently stated that the online application could not be released on the notified date due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. Thus, the date for JEXPO and VOCLET 2021 registration has been postponed. The official date shall be informed by the council in due course of time.
The notification issued on March 09, 2021, cited the official schedule for JEXPO and VOCLET 2021 entrance exams. According to the schedule, JEXPO 2021 is scheduled on July 18, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm whereas VOCLET 2021 is scheduled on July 18, 2021, as well but from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
The application process was scheduled to begin on March 25, 2021, while the last date for submitting the online application form was June 14, 2021. Authorities have postponed the release of the admission form but, have no provided any clarity on any change in the deadline for submitting the application.
JEXPO 2021 shall be of 2 hours duration and of total 100 marks. The question paper shall comprise of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), divided into three sections – Mathematics for 50 marks, Physics for 25 marks and Chemistry for 25 marks.
VOCLET 2021, scheduled on the same day as JEXPO 2021, shall be 2 hours duration as well. The question paper shall comprise MCQs having a maximum of 100 marks in total. The paper shall be divided into five section – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics and Computer Science carrying 20 marks each. JEXPO and VOCLET 2021 are state-level entrance exams scheduled to be conducted in West Bengal for candidates who wish to pursue diploma courses in engineering and technology.
