The West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development has released the official notification of JEXPO 2022 and VOLCET 2022 on the official website, exam.webscte.co.in. The application form filling for VOLCET, JEXPO has commenced from March 01 to April 04, 2022. The examination shall be held on May 07, 2022, from 10 am to 12 noon.
JEXPO is a state-based examination held in the state for providing admission into Diploma courses in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture in Polytechnic colleges of West Bengal. VOCLET (Vocational Lateral Entry Test) is conducted to provide admission into Diploma courses related to Engineering/Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy etc.
Eligibility
As per the official notification, the candidates applying for JEXPO 2022 should have completed class 10th from West Bengal board or any equivalent recognized board. Whereas, those applying for VOLCET 2022 have to clear class 10+2 with PCM from a recognized state or private board. There are in-dept eligibility criteria specified for each course under these examination.
How to Apply for JEXPO, VOLCET 2022?
The candidates possessing the basic eligibility for JEXPO, VOLCET 2022 have to abide by the following steps to apply successfully for the examination:
Step 1: Visit the official website, exam.webscte.co.in
Step 2: Now, complete the registration process by entering the details as asked and generate index number.
Step 3: After this, enter the name, caste, date of birth, educational qualification, test center preference, etc, and move to the next page.
Step 4: Upload the documents (photograph, signature, class 10th admit card, class 10th marksheet) relevant to the examination and submit the application form for the opted course.
The candidates are not allowed to pay the application fee since for this year the board has waived off the same. The prescribed size limit for the aforesaid document is 60 kb for photograph and 10th admit card, 30 kb for signature, and 100 kb for class 10th mark sheet.
Exam cities
As per the official notification, this year the exam shall be held in a total of 25 zones as mentioned below. Candidates are allowed to choose at least two zones out of the 25 cities available.

Exam pattern
JEXPO 2022 is going to be held in the offline mode with 100 questions from Physics (20), Chemistry (20), Mathematics (20), English (10) and Aptitude (10). The examination shall be held for 2 hours and the questions shall be in English and Bengali language. Whereas, VOLCET 2022 exam is going to have 100 questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics, and Computer section. The language and duration of the exam is going to be similar for this exam. As per the prescribed marking, 1 mark shall be assigned to each correct answer and a deduction of 0.25 marks shall be applicable for the wrong answers.
