Ten days into February 2022 and yet, there is no update on JEE Main and NEET 2022 exam dates. Usually, registration for both national-level exams begins in the December of previous year. However, the last two years of COVID-19 have severely affected the academics of students, bringing in uncertainty and chaos. The silver lining is that CBSE Term 2 dates have been announced. This invariably, increases the chances of NTA announcing the exam dates.
As per several news reports, the JEE Main 2022 examination will be conducted in four shifts, in the months of March, April, May and June, 2022. Similarly, NEET 2022 examination is likely to be conducted in May 2022. However, these speculations will only come true once the National Testing Agency (NTA) gives releases the information brochure for both exams.
CBSE Term 2 Exam Schedule
As per official information, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct the Class 12 Term 2 exams from April 26, 2022, onwards. After much deliberation and discussion, exams will be held through the offline mode, at selected schools across the country. Despite the numerous protests conducted by students, CBSE has decided on going ahead with offline exams. Of course, these exams will be conducted by following all the COVID-19 protocols.
What about JEE Main 2022 & NEET 2022?
If the CBSE Class 12 Term 2 exams are to begin from April 26, 2022, they are bound to continue till the third week of May 2022. Keeping this timeline in mind, the JEE Main 2022 and NEET 2022 exams will be held either before or after the term 2 exams to avoid any clash.
Looking at the dates, it is safe to predict that the JEE Main 2022 exam will be held in March, first week of April, last week of May and June 2022. Similarly, the NEET 2022 exam will be held in June 2022.
Candidates are advised to not believe these speculations to the hilt. They are mere assumptions and will either be confirmed or rejected by NTA, in the days to come. In the meantime, candidates can follow the official websites of both exams for important developments.
