Engineering aspirants across the country are eagerly waiting for official updates on JEE Mains 2022 session. This year, in an extraordinary move, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had conducted the JEE Main 2021 assessment four times, rather than two. A similar arrangement is expected to be followed for the forthcoming year, 2022. If this timetable continues, the primary Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 test will be held in February 2022. Registration for the same is likely to be initiated in the first week of December 2021, on the official website of JEE Mains at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Registration fee of JEE Mains 2022 exam varies for candidates based on a few parameters such as social category, the number of papers, gender of the applicant, and preferred examination center(India/Abroad). Male candidates from General/Gen-EWS/OBC(NCL) who opt to appear for one paper will be charged INR 650 whereas INR 1300 will be charged for 2 papers. On the other hand, all the female applicants and other applicants who fall under SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category will be charged INR 325 for each paper. Following the previous trend, NTA is likely to conduct the JEE Main 2022 examination in 4 sessions from February 2022 to May 2022 respectively. The official notice for the upcoming February 2022 session is awaited on the official site at nta.ac.in. Applicants will likewise get a month or so to register themselves for the JEE Main February 2022 session.
Applicants can estimate a tentative application schedule for the JEE Main 2022 session by following the trends of previous sessions. The registration process for the JEE Main 2019 first attempt was held from September 01, 20218 to September 30, 2018, respectively. A similar application schedule was followed in the year 2019 from September 01, 2019, to September 30, 2019, for the JEE main 2020 session. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, a change was observed in the JEE pattern in 2021 as it was conducted in 4 sessions. The registration was delayed for the JEE Main 2021 session and was held from December 16, 2020, to January 16, 2021.
Looking at the past few years’ trends, engineering aspirants can expect the registration process for JEE 2022 session to be initiated in December 2021. The registration portal will remain open for at least a month from the first day of registration.
