After the increasing demands put forth by JEE Main 2022 candidates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) recently issued an important notice. The notice is pertaining to the correction facility for making changes in the application form. The official notice has been published online, on the official website jeemain.nta.mix.in. Accordingly, the agency has reopened the correction facility, starting April 06, 2022. This facility shall remain open for a duration of two days, giving candidates an extra 48 hours’ time to make the corrections.
Interestingly, the agency had earlier stated that a candidate will not be able to make any changes in the application form post submission. Any requests in this regard will not be entertained. However, after much coercion by candidates, a dedicated JEE Main 2022 Session 1 correction window has been activated on the official portal.
JEE Main 2022 Session 1 – Official Notice
As per the official notice issued by NTA, the correction window for JEE Main 2022 Session 1 shall remain open from April 06 to 08, 2022, up to 9:00 pm. Candidates who successfully registered for session 1 can access this facility on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
To avail the JEE Main 2022 Session 1 correction facility however, candidates must pay the additional fee charges. This amount can be paid using Paytm and UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking. Payment will not be accepts through any offline or in-person mode.
The JEE Main 2022 Session 1 correction window is a one-time facility. So, thereafter, the agency will not be accepting anymore correction requests. So, candidates have been advised to make the changes carefully in their application form.
To reiterate the above point, the public notice reads the following statement –
Since, it is a one-time facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardships to them, the candidates are informed to do the correction very carefully, as no further chance for correction will be given to the candidates.
JEE Main 2022 Session 1 – Correction in Particulars
The official notice is attached to an Annexure which specifies the particulars in which a candidate can or cannot make changes. Accordingly, candidates are –
# Not permitted to make any changes in mobile number, email address, permanent address and correspondence address
In case of “Aadhar verified” candidates,
# Changes are not permitted in candidate’s name, date of birth, gender
# Father’s name, mother’s name, category, sub-category, city, medium, qualification and course can be altered
With respect to “Aadhar not verified” candidates, all particulars can be altered, subject to restrictions mentioned in the public notice.
