JEE Main 2020 admit card release date is December 06, 2019. National Testing Agency will allow the registered candidates to download their admit card from jeemain.nta.nic.in, until the day of exam. NTA is conducting JEE Main 2020 from January 06 to 11, 2020 in 2 shifts each day. Candidates will be allotted the exam date and shift via the admit card itself.
These are the ten important things to know about JEE Main 2020 admit card, and the exam.
First, to download the admit card of Joint Entrance Examination Main 2020, candidates must have their application number and password ready to login. The admit card is issued under the login. If the application number or password is misplaced or forgotten, candidates can use the “Forgot Application No?” and “Forgot Password?” option respectively available in the login window to retrieve them.
Secondly, admit card must be downloaded and carried to the exam center in a printed format. With the admit card, the accompaniment of a government issued ID card and a passport sized photo is mandatory. A government issued ID card is PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, aadhaar card (with the photograph), e-aadhaar with photograph, ration card with photograph, 12th class board admit card with photograph, or bank passbook with photograph. The ID card must be unexpired and original.
Thirdly, the students who have claimed relaxation under PwD category must carry PwD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer.
Fourth, if aspirants face any issue in the JEE main 2020 admit card download process or they witness an error in the same, they have to approach NTA via the query redressal system (QRS) under the login. Or they can also contact NTA on 0120-6895200 during working days between 10 am to 5 pm before the exam day.
Fifth, on the admit card, candidates will get the venue of their test center. The detailed address is printed with a unique exam center number. Using the same candidates can locate their center online in google maps, a facility that NTA starts after the release of admit card over the website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Sixth, take note of the deadline for entry at the exam center. Shift 1 starts from 9:30 am for which entry in the exam hall will begin from 7:30 am and will last till 9 am. No candidate will be allowed in after 9 am. Similarly for shift 2, candidates have to be inside the center by 2 pm. Entry starts from 1 pm. Shift 2 exam will start sharp at 2:30 pm.
Seventh, candidates with customary dresses must report the exam center 1.5 hours before the gate closing time. This includes the candidates who carry barred metallic objects like kara and kirpan etc.
Eighth, candidates who are opting for scribe/reader/lab assistant facility. Such candidates are eligible for 20 minutes per hour compensatory time in the exam.
Ninth, is that no candidate will be allowed to take any personal belonging inside the exam hall. Thus do not carry any stationery, except for B.Arch examinees, any pen/pencil, papers, etc. Pen/pencils and blank paper sheets will be provided to the candidates inside the exam center.
The tenth and the last point is for the candidates who will be appearing for the B.Arch paper. Such candidates can carry geometry box, pencils, pens, erasers and colors inside the center. However, water based colors will not be allowed.
