JEE Main 2019 Result Announced; NTA score confuses Students

JEE MAIN 2019 RESULT ANNOUCNED

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the result for JEE Main 2019. The candidates can check their percentile score in JEE Main 2019 from the official website, jeemain.nic.in. The exam for January session was conducted between January 08-12, 2019 for Paper 1 and on January 8, 2019, for Paper 2. NTA shall release the result for Paper 2 sometime later.

To check the result for JEE Main 2019, the aspirants need to visit the official website of JEE Main. On the homepage of the website, the candidates need to click on the link which says “JEE Main 2019 January NTA Score”. In the next screen, the aspirants have to log in by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth. Click on the Login button to submit the details. On submitting the login details, your result will appear on the screen.

JEE Main 2019 ResultAs per the information provided in the JEE Main 2019 Information Brochure for First Attempt, the result was supposed to be out on January 31, 2019, but NTA threw a major surprise to everyone by announcing the result way before the schedule.

The scorecard for JEE Main 2019 consist of application number, candidate’s name, parent’s name, category, gender, state code of eligibility, exam roll number, date of birth, nationality and whether opted for Person with Disability quota, along with section wise and total scores secured in the JEE Main 2019

NTA has released normalized JEE Main score on the basis of the relative performance of all the candidates who had appeared for this national level. Since the process of Normalization is very much new to the students, they are unable to stand what is their score, what marks have they obtained.

NTA scores are the normalized marks which indicates the percentage of the candidate scored as much as you or below you.

The All India Rank (AIR) for this session exam has not yet been released. The AIR is going to be released after the JEE Main exam for Jan and April is conducted. This All India Rank is then used by the Centralised Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) / JoSAA to allocate seats to the qualifying candidates in NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others.

Now NTA will release the Application Form for JEE Main 2019 for Second Attempt on February 08, 2019. The application form for the second attempt is going to be released online at the website, jeemain.nic.in. The candidates will be able to submit the JEE Main 2019 Application Form for April Exam till March 07, 2019. The JEE Main 2019 Second Attempt is scheduled to be held from April 06 to 20, 2019 in two shifts.

JEE Main 2019 January session was a grand success with NTA taking over the CBSE’s role for conducting this exam in 2 sessions across 467 exam centers in 258 cities in online mode, all for the first time. On the basis of the JEE Main 2019 scores, candidates will be eligible for admission to various NITs, IITs, and GFTIs. JEE Main 2019 scores are also required for appearing in JEE Advanced 2019.
