National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared JEE Main 2019 Result, on January 19, 2019. The result is available at jeemain.nic.in and has only been announced for Paper 1 candidates, i.e. B.E and B.Tech students. Along with the result, NTA has also released result data. A total of 15 students have secured a perfect 100 percentile score in the exam. Over all, 8,74,469 candidates appeared for the JEE Main Jan exam.

Congratulation to JEE Main 2019 Toppers!

Dhruv Arora from MP, Raj Aryan Agrawal from Maharashtra, Adelly Sai Kiran from Telangana, Bojja Chetan Reddy from AP, Sambit Behera from Rajasthan, Naman Gupta from UP, Yindukuri Jayanth Phani Sai from Telangana, Vishwanth K from Telangana, Himanshu Gaurav Singh from UP, Kevin Martin from Karnataka, Shubhankar Gambhir from Rajasthan, Battepati Karthikeya from Telangana, Ankit Kumar Misra from Maharashtra, Jayesh Singla from Punjab, and Gupta Kartikey Chandresh from Maharashtra have secured 100 percentile in JEE Main 2019 and hence are the toppers of January exam.

The highest number of toppers are from Telangana. A total of 4 candidates have secured 100 percentile and they are Adelly Sai Kiran, Yindukuri Jayanth Phani Sai, Battepati Karthikeya, and Vishwanth K. From Maharashtra 3 candidates each have got 100 percentile, which are Ankit Kumar Misra, Gupta Kartikey Chandresh, and Raj Aryan Agarwal.

What is NTA Score?

Students are confused about NTA Score. A candidate getting 100 percentile indicates that the candidate has scored highest raw score, in their session. The percentile score or the NTA Score is calculated through a formula, which is: 100 multiplied by (X) Number of candidates, in a session, who scored upto or below a candidate divided by (÷) Total Number of candidates in a session.

Who will Get JEE Main 2019 AIR 1?

These 15 candidates are for sure topper of JEE Main January 2019 and similarly, NTA will announce toppers for JEE Main April 2019 exam. Once the 100 percentiles for both the exams has been determined, NTA will use the tie breaking method to determine who among these is worthy of JEE Main 2019 AIR 1.

For breaking the tie, NTA will first consider the percentile score in Mathematics. If the tie still prevails then the percentile score in Physics and Chemistry will be used. If the scores are not enough to break the tie, then NTA will allocate higher rank to the elder candidate. In rare cases, where the age factors will also fail, same rank shall be allocated to the candidates.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Candidates waiting for the Result

This year NTA conducted JEE Main 2019 on January 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2019. The exam was only held in online mode in 258 cities with 467 test centres set up by NTA. The Paper 2 of JEE Main was only held on January 08 and the result for it has not been announced yet. NTA has not given any particular date for the release of JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 result but it is expected to be available later on, with the AIR.

JEE Main 2019 April Application Form Releasing on February 8

NTA will be releasing JEE Main April 2019 application form on February 08, 2019. The registration will stay open until 07 March 2019. Candidates who appeared for JEE Main 1st attempt may also apply for the second one. The examination will be held on between April 6 to 20, 2019.
