Why Is JEE Main 2019 Being Held Twice But Not NEET 2019; Aspirants Not Satisfied With NTA’s Decision

Since the breakout of the final NEET 2019 schedule, it is now official that NEET 2019 will be conducted once a year and in pen and paper mode only. On August 23, 2018, the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) hosted the press release of NTA held 5 exams – JEE Main 2019, NEET 2019, UGC NET 2019, CMAT and GPAT, which says that NEET will not be conducted twice a year and neither it will be conducted in the Computer-based mode.

This has thrown the NEET 2019 aspirants in quite a dissatisfied zone. They are are demanding reasons on why NEET like JEE Main 2019 is not being conducted twice a year.

Earlier, Ministry of Health has given reasons to MHRD and requested to rill back the decision of NEET 2019 in online mode and twice a year stating several valid reasons. The reasons being, first, if NEET 2019 is held in online mode than the rural candidates will be at a disadvantage. Second, they said twice a year schedule of the exam will add a lot of pressure on NEET 2019 aspirants. Many will appear for their class 12th boards and many will also opt for the JEE Main 2019 exam. This will mean a continuous 4 months of examinations.

However valid the above reasons are, candidates feel this is an unfair move, as this reasons hold true for the JEE main 2019 aspirants too, but JEE Main 2019 is being conducted twice a year. NEET 2019 aspirants feel this to be unfair stating that the situations and reasons stated for NEET 2019 not being held twice a year are valid for JEE Main 2019 aspirants too.

In our earlier reports, many aspirants have commented voicing their dissatisfaction on this move bt the NTA.

The above are few of the many comments that we have received. The decision of conducting NEET 2019 once a year and JEE Main 2019 twice a year is yet not clear. However, candidates are clearly not happy with this move of NTA.

The government surely have some reasons to differentiate NEET 2019 conduct from other 4 exams that NTA will be conducting from 2019 onwards. NEET being the only medical entrance exam has always been surrounded with controversies and has remained the center attraction. Thus, to conduct NEET 2019 with such big changes requires more thought. This might be one of the reasons to conduct NEET as it was being conducted with no changes.

NEET 2019 will now be conducted on May 05, 2019 and the registrations for the same will start from November 01, 2018. JEE Main 2019, on the other hand, will be conducted first on January 06-20, 2019 and then on April 06-20, 2019 in 8 sittings. The registrations of JEE Main 1 2019 exam will start from September 01, 2018 and the JEE Main 2 2019 registrations are scheduled on February 08, 2019.

Do let us know what are your opinions on NEET not being conducted twice a year like JEE Main in 2019. Comment below!

UN LIKE JEE MAINS NEET ALSO SHOULD BE HELD TWICE A YEAR.THE REASON THAT NEET STUDENTS WILL BE SUBJECTED TO PRESSURE IS NOT FAIR. IT IS SHOWING BIAS BETWEEN NEET STUDENTS AND JEE STUDENTS.THERE IS A HIDDEN REASON IN NOT CONDUNTING THE NEET TWICE.IT IS NOT THE PRESSURE ON THE STUDENTS, IT IS THE PRESSURE ON THE DEPARTMENTAL EMPLOYEES CONCERNED.

We feel really happy. Because it reduces the stress in students. How can they prepare for both neet and board exams at a time. Thanks to nta. Conducting exams once in a year helps them to concentrate on subjects thoroughly.

Govt is acting like a joker or they thinking that the candidate and there gurdians are joker.neet should be conducted twice and if not possible in one form can be both CBT and pen paper form.Whatever hindering is there govt can remove it to take bold steps. We will support them.

    Sir,
I am not happy with NTA’s decision.

If online mode is a disadvantage for rural studenta then NTA may conducted neet twice a year in pen and paper mode . Another thing is that as there is a 4 month pressure for all the neet aspirants during the Feb to may gap similarly there is more opportunities for they if they fail they can try another chance .If this 4 month pressure is reduced they have to wait another 1 year which create pressure for another 1 year.
I being a Neet Aspirant think so, others may have another thinking there feelings are also welcomed.
    Thank you

JEE should also be held once a year. How I will prepare for my board exams and then after again a full list of exams to go for. Government should take these types of moves carefully regarding the future of aspirants. I will be very happy if jee exam will be once a year.

We need to immediately file a petition in Supreme Court sgaint the single NEET exam . There is no reason as why should not NEET to be held twice in line with JEE Mains.
Request some one to come forward and act as volunteer and file the petition.

What is this? Why HRD Minister playing with neet aspirants? Why they don’t understand neet is not a politics? Why govt. Played with lakhs of aspirants? Fake + grazing+dismentality+heartbroken=BJP HRD Minister.

Is this reasons will not apply for mains. They may have stress and portion will not complete by january I think government should think about it

    Descrimination ?? How ??
We jee aspirants never complained about jee(advanced) giving only 2 attempts .
Unlike jee,neet/aiims have more attempts than we can think about .
