Why Is JEE Main 2019 Being Held Twice But Not NEET 2019; Aspirants Not Satisfied With NTA’s Decision

Since the breakout of the final NEET 2019 schedule, it is now official that NEET 2019 will be conducted once a year and in pen and paper mode only. On August 23, 2018, the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) hosted the press release of NTA held 5 exams – JEE Main 2019, NEET 2019, UGC NET 2019, CMAT and GPAT, which says that NEET will not be conducted twice a year and neither it will be conducted in the Computer-based mode.

This has thrown the NEET 2019 aspirants in quite a dissatisfied zone. They are are demanding reasons on why NEET like JEE Main 2019 is not being conducted twice a year.

Earlier, Ministry of Health has given reasons to MHRD and requested to rill back the decision of NEET 2019 in online mode and twice a year stating several valid reasons. The reasons being, first, if NEET 2019 is held in online mode than the rural candidates will be at a disadvantage. Second, they said twice a year schedule of the exam will add a lot of pressure on NEET 2019 aspirants. Many will appear for their class 12th boards and many will also opt for the JEE Main 2019 exam. This will mean a continuous 4 months of examinations.

However valid the above reasons are, candidates feel this is an unfair move, as this reasons hold true for the JEE main 2019 aspirants too, but JEE Main 2019 is being conducted twice a year. NEET 2019 aspirants feel this to be unfair stating that the situations and reasons stated for NEET 2019 not being held twice a year are valid for JEE Main 2019 aspirants too.

In our earlier reports, many aspirants have commented voicing their dissatisfaction on this move bt the NTA.

The above are few of the many comments that we have received. The decision of conducting NEET 2019 once a year and JEE Main 2019 twice a year is yet not clear. However, candidates are clearly not happy with this move of NTA.

The government surely have some reasons to differentiate NEET 2019 conduct from other 4 exams that NTA will be conducting from 2019 onwards. NEET being the only medical entrance exam has always been surrounded with controversies and has remained the center attraction. Thus, to conduct NEET 2019 with such big changes requires more thought. This might be one of the reasons to conduct NEET as it was being conducted with no changes.

NEET 2019 will now be conducted on May 05, 2019 and the registrations for the same will start from November 01, 2018. JEE Main 2019, on the other hand, will be conducted first on January 06-20, 2019 and then on April 06-20, 2019 in 8 sittings. The registrations of JEE Main 1 2019 exam will start from September 01, 2018 and the JEE Main 2 2019 registrations are scheduled on February 08, 2019.

Do let us know what are your opinions on NEET not being conducted twice a year like JEE Main in 2019. Comment below!

    Indian government and their decisions.
If you’re conducting JEE main twice a year then why not NEET man.
Please reconsider your decision and make a revolutionary pattern which would hold for at least 5-6 years.
Pattern keeps changing every 1-2 years which means you can not make a clear decision for the future of us.

Yes NEET must be held twice.

This is literally not going fairly…NEET and JEE both are important so they should set rules equally for both the examinations…in my opinio Neet sjould be kept twice a year as lot of students who will be appearing for their 12th boards will face a problem in giving NEET..

I like the decision that NEET is not going to be held twice a year because I am also a medical aspirant and a 12th class student ,so i think it will be a huge burden for 12th standard students to give board exam as well as NEET at the same time.

    This is a wrong decision
They have said that there will be prblm in rural areas for taking exam on cbt mode in neet
Does there will be no prblm in taking Jee In cbt mode???
Does rural students give only neet not Jee

Neet should be conducted twice a year….it will lead the aspirants to prepare properly….you all want are good doctors but some of your “systems” doesn’t allow this… People with low marks are given seats preferably…. atleast neet twice a year can help “someone” to be in a medical college in which they deserve

Myself and most of the my friends are very satisfied with the decission of NTA but also have a request to conduct the JEE mains once in a year for psychological equivalence to all Aspirants of medical and engineering and We also request to make priority and weightage to the subject of carrier,as for example the standard as well as more number of questions from animal science (zoology) followed by plant science (botany), chemistry and physics respectively,so get real and successful future in medical college and related field because most of the students even after cracked the medical entrance they are feeling difficulty to complete the term courses that’s why they read only for their degree(certificate) of course/extreme and hence we have or further to be found the less efficient professional or practitioner of the respective fields,so consider the things to bright my India. Thanks

NEETU should be held twice a year because it can be helpful for studentsale as they don’t have to drop their one year to reappear in exam
But taking exam in pen and paper format is good

    Why always NEET????
    why always politics on NEET??
why you always play with NEET aspirants career???
    Why always discrimination with NEET?

  11. Akshaya says:

Why is there a discrimination in conducting the exams? Either once for both for twice or both. I wish the decision changes this year itself. I request you to kindly take a fair step thinking the students future in mind. Thank you

  12. Prabhakar R says:

Why they changed the NEET only ? Will u prepare all exams only once at year other wise NEET also conduct twice.

  13. Geethika says:

No….it’s better to conduct neet twice a year I hope so!!

  14. Minti Shah says:

I am totally disagree with this decision because both the exams are for the future of the students of 12th then why such kind of discrimination between A group and B group students. Already A group students have lot of options and colleges and again one more benefit.give them equal chance. Government should take a right decision. Those who are agree with me write your opinion and save the future of your child.

Once declared Government can not roll back it’s decision.Differential treatment to NEET candidates is violative of fundamental rights of equal treatment under law.Candidates must move court before registration process starts.
