The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed the JEE Main 2019 Exam dates as January 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12, 2019. Earlier NTA has notified that the JEE Main 2019 exam will be conducted from January 06 – 20, 2019, and on weekends. However, while the JEE Main 2019 exam date and shift allotment were going on, it came as surprise when candidates were being allotted exam dates that were not weekends.
Now, it is clear the NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2019 exam in online mode only across 273 exam cities in India and abroad in 5 days. The five days are January 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12, 2019. The days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectively.

The allotted exam date, shift and centre have been mentioned on the JEE Main 2019 Admit Card. More than 9 lakh candidates will be appearing for the JEE Main 2019 January Exam as per their allotted schedule across 273 exam cities.
The JEE Main 2019 January exam will be conducted in 2 shifts – Shift 1: 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and Shift 2: 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM. There are 2 papers in JEE Main. The Paper 1 is for B.E./B.Tech aspirants and paper 2 is for B.Plan/B.Arch aspirants.
Now the important thing to note here is that the JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 exam will be held in 2 shifts and in all the 5 days. However, the paper 2 of JEE Main 2019 exam will be held in 2 shifts but only on one single day, i.e., January 08, 2019.
Candidates are advised to download their admit card from the official website, jeemain.nic.in. The admit card will be most probably will remain available for download until the exam day i.e. up to January 08, 2019. However, it is recommended to not wait for the last moment and get the admit card downloaded and printed on a clean A4 sized paper.
To download the admit card the candidates can use either their application number and password or their application number and date of birth. Using either of the two combinations, candidates can download their respective admit card.
An important point to note is that the candidates will have to carry a valid photo ID proof to the exam centres along with the admit card. a valid photo id proof is one of these: PAN Card, Voter’s ID Card, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence etc.
As per the recent public notice of JEE Main 2019, NTA has made it clear that the admit card will not be sent to any candidates via post and in case any applicant is not able to download his/her e-Admit card, he/she may send email to [email protected]
