The JEE Main 2019 Shift 2 for Paper 1 starts at 02:30 PM. Each shift of JEE Main 2019 is of 3 hours and two shifts will be organized each day. JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 is conducted over a time span of 4 days –  April 08, 09, 10 and 12, 2019.

The shift 1 was held today from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The overall level of the paper, as per the initial student reaction, was easy as per the candidates. Physics was the toughest section out of all, Maths was moderate and Chemistry was the easiest. In shift 1 most of the questions in chemistry were from the organic section. In Physics most of the questions were asked from Thermodynamics and in Maths there were many questions from trigonometry and coordinate geometry.

Shift 2 will end at 05:30 PM. The reporting time has been specified for JEE Main shift 2. Students have to report at the examination center between  12.30 p.m. – to 1.30 p.m. Any candidate coming after the specified time will not be allowed to appear for JEE Main 2019. Candidates have to enter the exam hall between 1.45 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. Candidates must have something light and healthy before the exam or if possible have something on the go as the exam will be conducted for 3 hrs straight without any breaks.

What to Carry & What Not To Carry!

As the candidates go for shift 2, they must ensure they are carrying what they should and not what they shouldn’t. Candidates must check that they are carrying their JEE Main 2019 Admit Card. The admit card for JEE is a crucial document, in the absence of which, the students will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Along with the admit card, the candidates have to carry one photo ID proof and a passport sized photograph. Students do not need to solve any rough sheet as they are given a pen and a rough sheet for the rough work inside the exam center itself.

Candidates are advised to not carry any Geometrical instruments, pencil box, handbags, purse, study material, any kind of paper whatsoever, microphone, mobile phone, earphone, Log tables, camera or any other electronic device whatsoever in the exam hall. If found with these items during the examination, the candidate will have to leave the exam hall without any arguments.

JEE Main paper 1 result will be organized online by April 30, 2019. Candidates will be getting the question paper and the response sheet after 2-3 days of the conduct of JEE Main 2019. The candidates will be getting the same through their login.

Candidates will also be provided the answer key for JEE Main 2019. It is provided to the students after the response sheet and the question paper are provided. Candidates will be able to challenge the answer key officially.

The national testing agency is conducting JEE Main paper 1. NTA will release the All India Rank of the candidates. Candidates can take admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs on the basis of the AIR of JEE Main 2019.

In the scorecard of the candidates, they will get to see the cutoff marks to appear in the JEE advanced 2019 exam. This time NTA is going to declare the percentile score of the candidates and not the raw marks. The scorecard will have the percentile wise score of each section and the overall percentile score.
