JEE Main Admit Card 2019 will be released on the official website of JEE Main 2019, jeemain.nic.in from December 17, 2018. Admit Card of JEE Main is the only document which will allow the candidates to enter the exam centre. Therefore, dow loading the admit card is a must, however, there are important instructions that are to be noted before downloading the JEE Main 2019 Admit Card.

The admit card will be made available under the JEE Main login. Candidates will be needing their application number and password to login into their accounts and download their respective admit card. The admit card will contain all the exam day instructions, as per which the candidates have to appear in the exam.

Highlights:

  • Admit card will be available in the online mode only.
  • Admit card will be made available from December 17, 2018
  • Application Number and password is a must for downloading the admit card.

The details on the admit card will include the JEE Main 2019 exam date and time, exam centre name and address, JEE Main 2019 Roll number, state of eligibility, and other important instructions. The candidates who have submitted their JEE Main 2019 application form before September 30, 2018, are eligible to download their JEE Main 2019 Admit Card.

9.65 lakh candidates have registered for the JEE Main 2019 January Exam. Thus, out of this the candidates whose application forms are found error-free and within the eligibility guideline will be getting their admit card to appear in the exam.

Important Point #1

Now, to download the admit card the first thing to note is that the candidates will need their JEE Main 2019 Application Number and password. However, if one is unable to locate this information, they can easily retrieve their JEE Main 2019 application number and password on the official website using the “I can’t access my account” link.

Important Point #2

Next, the candidates have to check the details on the admit card before they finally take a print of the admit card. The details that they need to check includes – Spelling of the name, exam centre date and time, exam centre name and address, roll number, the course name, whether the photo and signature of the admit card is correct/clear or not. Ensuring all this information is important as if any detail does not match the details provided on the application form, may lead to problems while appearing in the exam centre.

Important Point #3

Another most important factor is to download the admit card with time in hand. Candidates who download their admit card in the eleventh hour tend to face technical glitches as many candidates download their admit card altogether. Thus, it is important to download the admit card as soon as possible to avoid last minute rush, as we have already noted that 9.65 lakh candidates have registered for the JEE Main 2019 January Exam. Thus, one can expect a rush at the last few days.

Important Point #4

Candidates must take at least 2-3 print out of the admit card. this is to create a backup. Now, candidates also ask that whether they should take a coloured or black and white print out. NTA has not specified any guideline regarding this. However, it is recommended that the candidates carry a coloured print of the admit card as the coloured copy is more clear which in turn eases the frisking and verification process at the exam centres.

Important Point #5

The most ignored fact is that many candidates do not read the important instructions on the admit card. This point must not be avoided under any case. The important instructions are for the candidates so that they familiar with the exam hall rules and regulation, avoiding which may lead to the cancellation of the candidature. The instructions clearly mention the reporting time at the exam centre and the do’s and dont’s inside the exam centres.
