JEE Main 2018 Admit Card: Download at jeemain.nic.in; Things To Take To Exam Centre

Students across the nation can now download JEE Main 2018 Admit Card. CBSE issued it on March 12, 2018, at jeemain.nic.in. It is an important document. On the exam day, i.,e on April 08, 15, and 16, only those candidates will get permission to enter exam hall who will be able to produce it. But do you know that other than the JEE admit card, the candidates will need to carry few other documents as well?

Yes, there are certain documents and things that the candidates need to carry on the exam day. These differ a little, for online and offline paper and for JEE Main Paper 1 and 2. Let us first talk about the common documents which all the candidates must carry.

Candidates have to carry Admit Card and Identity Proof. PwD candidates also need to carry PwD certificate, as specified in appendix 9 of JEE Main Information Brochure.

Candidates not carrying these documents will not be allowed to take the exam. A valid ID proof can be Aadhqaar Card, Voter ID card, Driving License, Passport, Bank Passbook with Photograph, etc. The PwD is to be brought exactly in the brochure. Any other type of certificate might not be accepted.

Other than these documents, the candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2018 CBT need not carry anything else. They will get a pen and rough paper in the exam hall. The candidates who will be appearing for Pen and Paper based exam can few items like a clipboard and a pen. The clipboard should be clear and nothing must be written on it.

…The pen should be a ballpoint one and only in black colour. Marking answer on OMR sheet with a Pencil will lead to cancellation of candidature.

Candidates appearing for Paper 2 may carry pen, pencil, geometry set, colours, etc. The watercolours are not allowed. Also, the candidates must carry their own material because exchanging and sharing of it will not be allowed at the exam hall.

There are also certain things which the candidates cannot carry at the exam hall. These are any kind of baggage is prohibited, calculators, textual material, docu pen, slide rules, log table, electronic watches with any kind of calculator facility, pager, mobile phone, bits of paper, printed or written material. Apart from these things, smoking and Eating is strictly prohibited. Also, tea, coffee or any kind of snacks are not allowed to carry.

Important instructions for Computer Based Examination

If you are opting for the Computer Based Examination then there are some of the important points you must keep in mind.

  • It is advised to you to check your JEE Main Hall Ticket 2018 very carefully as any false information may result into the cancellation of your exam.
  • Reach to the Examination Centre atleast before two and Half hours. Once the exam has started you are not allowed to appear for the examination.
  • You can check your seat number and the roll number allotted to you.
  • While receiving the JEE Main question paper make ensure that the medium of question paper is same as you have chosen.

Important instructions for Pen and Paper Based Examination

There are some of the instructions which need to follow if you are opting for the pen and paper mode of examination.

  • Firstly, check all the details very carefully mentioned on your admit card.
  • It is strictly advised to you to reach to the examination center before two and the half hour. Remember, if exam starts once you are not allowed to enter into the examination hall.
  • Those who are appearing for the architecture paper are required to carry your own geometry box consists of pencils, erasers, colour pencils and crayons as well as the clear cardboard.
  • Your roll number indicates the seat number
