The registration process of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 examination has been delayed. This is because the results of the JEE Main 2021 4th attempt have not been released yet. According to the official website – jeeadv.ac.in, the commencement of registration for JEE Advanced 2021 is September 13, 2021. The time for the same has not been specified, but the process will begin in the afternoon of the same day. Likewise, the last date for registration stands at September 19, 2021 at 5 pm, while the last date for paying the required fee is September 20, 2021, at 5 PM.
JEE Advanced 2021 comprises of two papers, namely Paper I and Paper II. The duration of each paper is 03 hours and it is mandatory for the students to appear in both the papers. For registration, candidates have to use the same login credentials as that for JEE Main 2021. After logging in, they have to enter the choices of cities. An option for registering an additional phone number and email ID will be given. Then, they have to upload all the required documents, details about which are provided in the updated information brochure on the official website. In the next stage, candidates have to pay the required registration fee.
Please note that the candidates, who are eligible as per the one-time measure, must follow Procedure ‘B’ of the registration process. For that, they have to log in using the JEE main 2021 credentials, provide the examination city choices and add an additional phone number and email ID. After that, they have to enter the URC provided to them. In the next stage, they have to upload the scanned copies of documents and pay the registration fee.
The documents, which are required for registration, include the class 10 certificate (with the date of birth mentioned) or simply the birth certificate, class 12 marksheet/pass certificate. However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories will have to upload relevant documents as mentioned in the information brochure. In terms of the required age limit, candidates’ date of birth must be on or after October 01, 1996. However, the SC, ST and PwD (Persons with disabilities) candidates will get 5 years of age relaxation.
Female, SC, ST and PwD candidates, who are Indian nationals, have to pay Rs. 1,400 as registration, while all other candidates must pay Rs, 2,800. Under the foreign nationals category, candidates from the SAARC countries must pay USD 75 and those from the non-SAARC countries have to pay USD 150 as registration fee.
