The organizing institute IIT Kharagpur has successfully conducted the Architecture Aptitude Test or AAT 2021 on October 18, 2021. As per the official website jeeadv.ac.in, the results for the test will be declared tomorrow, i.e. October 22, 2021. Here are 9 important points that candidates should know about the JEE Advanced 2021 AAT exam.
#1. Candidates who wish to join the B. Arch programme must pass AAT 2021 exam to be eligible for admission. However, it must be noted that the B. Arch programme is available at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. The test was conducted for only those candidates who had qualified for JEE Advanced 2021.
#2. The cut-off marks for passing AAT 2021 will be decided by the Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced 2021. As and when the results are released tomorrow, candidates can check the same from jeeadv.ac.in. Only those candidates who will secure marks above the decided cut-off will be declared pass in AAT 2021.
#3. There will be no separate ranking in the test. There will also be no separate cut-offs for students belonging to any category.
#4. Furthermore, the allotment of seats will be based on the category-wise All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2021 exam. The B. Arch program will only be offered to those candidates who will be declared pass in AAT 2021.
#5. The counselling process for JEE Advanced AAT 2021 will be carried out by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority or JoSAA. Candidates have to complete their registration and choice filling process via josaa.nic.in.
#6. Although the registration and counselling process via josaa.nic.in will end on October 25, 2021; candidates whose AAT 2021 results will be declared tomorrow will get three days’ time to fill their choices.
#7. The cut-off marks for seeking admission to the B. Arch programs in the IITs will be based on the JEE Advanced 2021 scores. AAT is just a qualifying exam to be eligible for the program. In short, the admission process for the B. Arch program will be based on the JEE Advanced 2021 cut-off.
#8. The AAT roll number will be the same as the JEE Advanced 2021 roll number. Hence, to check the results, refer to the same. There is no separate roll number for AAT.
#9. Marks scored by a candidate in AAT are not counted towards admission to the B. Arch program in the three IITs. However, those candidates who will not pass the AAT 2021 exam will not be eligible to seek admission.
