Indian Statistical Institute is inviting applications to fill up 10 vacancies for various posts of Project Linked Personnel. ISI Kolkata has published an official recruitment notification in this regard at the official website i.e. web.isical.ac.in. Candidates applying for Jr. Research Engineer/Programmer post must also include the source code of a compulsory programming assignment with their applications.
Eligible and intending candidates can apply with their resume to the email address [email protected] on or before September 08, 2020. Online interviews are scheduled to be conducted from September 21 to 25, 2020. The programming assignment will be uploaded at the website by August 29, 2020.
As per the detailed recruitment notification published by ISI Kolkata, 10 vacancies are available for various posts under the cadre of Project Linked Personnel. The vacancies are under a Government sponsored project at RC Bose Center for Cryptology & Security, ISI, Kolkata. 03 vacancies are available for the post of Post Doctoral Fellow cum Lecturer/Assistant Professor. 03 vacancies are also available for the post of Post Doctoral Fellow. 02 vacancies are available for the post of Senior Research Engineer. 02 vacancies are also available for the post of Junior Research Engineer or Programmer. Candidates are to be paid monthly consolidated salary at the rate of Rs 65000 – 1,20,000 for Post Doctoral Fellow cum Lecturer post holders. Post Doctoral Fellow and Senior Research Engineer post holders are entitled to receive Rs 39000 – 65000 per month. Junior Research Engineer or Programmer post holders will receive Rs 25000 – 39000 per month.
All applicants must be within the maximum age limit of 35 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement i.e. August 24, 2020. Relaxations on the age limit are applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped candidates. Those who have additional experience are also eligible for relaxations on the upper age limit. PhD (Computer Science) applicants having specialization in Cryptology are eligible to apply for the post of Doctoral Fellow cum Lecturer/Assistant Professor. They must have more than 02 years research experience or a first class degree in the relevant field. Candidates having a PhD (Physics) and post qualification experience in the field of quantum information research/work experience or first class degree are also eligible to apply for this post.
For the post of Post Doctoral Fellow, candidates having a PhD (Mathematics/Computer Science/Electronics & Comm.) and specialization in Cryptology/Coding Theory can apply. in addition, candidates having more than 02 years of research experience in research lab are eligible to apply for the post of Post Doctoral Fellow. Candidates having a B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science and 05 years of experience in crypto/security related government projects are eligible to apply for the post of Senior Research Engineer. B.E./B.Tech. (CS, E&TC, EE, IE) are eligible to apply for the post of Junior Research Engineer or Programmer. Proficiency in C programming is essential in Linux/Unix environment.
Candidates will be selected through online interviews. The tentative dates of the interview have been announced. However, candidates will get the confirm interview dates 03 days before the interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be provided with information about the interview.
