ISC Semester 2 Exam Preparation Tips
As less than 2 months remain for the ISC semester 2 exams, it is time for the students to be fast-paced in their preparation for the exams. Students should try to prepare the whole syllabus well with two or three rounds of revision.
Science Stream
Sticking to the syllabus is an important step in acing the ISC Science exam, as the syllabus to be covered is vast and filled with data. What is important in the prescribed syllabus can be understood by solving the previous year’s question papers. Looking at and studying using the past 5 to 10 year question papers can turn out to be game-changing as far as science subjects are concerned.
ISC sticks to what is important each year with many questions being repeated exactly as they are or in the same pattern from previous years. Remembering the equations and formulas is very important in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry examinations. Special focus should be given to Organic Chemistry in the Chemistry paper. Time should be dedicated wisely to studying these equations well which can help score good marks. Write down and study these problems, equations, and diagrams so that one remembers them for the exam.
Commerce Stream
Prepare a topic-wise schedule for the preparation for each subject and stick to that schedule. Prepare all the 5 commerce subjects every week and take an off day in the week, preferably Sunday. While practicing, go through every theory, terms, rules, concept, definition, and explanation before solving practical questions. For Mathematics and Accounting, practicing more and more questions is the key to scoring good marks. For Economics, the ability to explain the topics effectively should be made through practice and understanding.
Arts Stream
For the ISC darts stream, reading and understanding various topics is the most important factor in scoring good marks. For History, try to remember the important points and dates in a chronological manner. And for other arts subjects, be prepared with accurate information even from books outside the syllabus. For subjects like Legal Studies and Mass Communication, try to get some extra information from outside the syllabus. Also, be updated with the current affairs which can help the students write better.
