The Indian Army is all set to recruit 99 Women Military Police in the Category of Soldier General Duty. An official recruitment notice is published in this regard at the website of the Indian Army i.e. joinindianarmy.nic.in. Eligible candidates from specified districts can apply for the recruitment rally online. It is mandatory to apply online before appearing in the rally. The online application process has commenced on July 27, 2020 and will end on August 31, 2020. Final dates and location of the rally are to be intimated through admit cards.
As per the detailed recruitment notification, the recruitment rally is to be conducted as per schedule in the locations of Ambala, Lucknow, Jabalpur, Bangalore, Shillong, and Pune. Candidates are allocated venues in their home districts only. However, the listed venues are tentative and subject to change. The vacancies are for the post of Soldier (GD) (Women Military Police). Applicants who are within the age of 17.5 years and 21 years are eligible to apply for the recruitment. In addition, applicants must be of the minimum height of 152 cms with proportionate body weight as per medical standards and 05 cms of minimum chest expansion. The minimum education required is Class 10th pass with 45% aggregate marks and 33% marks in individual subjects.
The Indian Army will generate cut off lists according to which, eligible applicants are to be issued admit cards for the rally. In the case of a tie, the candidate senior in age is given preference. The allocated rally location and date is mentioned in the admit card. Candidates will have to undergo physical fitness tests at the rally site. The tests include a 1.6 km run, 10 feet long jump, and 03 feet high jump. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed notification to check out the relaxations on the PFT in hilly terrains. Similarly, relaxations on the physical standards and age are applicable for candidates belonging to special categories. All candidates must be female and medically fit as per the medical standards of the Indian army. Pregnant candidates are ineligible to apply for the recruitment rally.
Upon successfully qualifying through the rally and medical examinations, candidates are issued admit cards to appear in a Common Entrance Examination at the rally site. Crucial details of the written exam are intimated through the admit cards only. The CCE has provisions of negative marking and the results are declared on the official recruitment website of the Indian Army as specified above. Separate merit lists are to be prepared for each rally site.
Candidates must carry the specified documents including admit card, 20 copies of recent colored passport sized photographs and other certificates and testimonials. It is also advised to carry sufficient eatables and drinking water to the rally.
