Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up 12 vacancies in various posts. The Institute of national importance has published Advertisement No. R/07/2020 dated August 03, 2020, in this regard at the official website iitkgp.ac.in. The posts include Deputy Chief System Manager, Superintending Engineer (Civil), Deputy Registrar, and Senior Executive Engineer among others. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online at the official website and forward a hard copy of the application form on or before the specified last dates. The last date of submission of online applications is September 21, 2020. The last date of receipt of the hard copy of the application form is September 30, 2020.
As per the detailed recruitment notice published by IIT KGP, there are 12 vacancies available altogether. One vacancy each is available for the posts of Deputy Chief System Manager, Superintending Engineer (Civil), Senior Executive Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Tel/RAC/WW/SS/CWISS/HORT)/Senior Architect (SG), Senior Technical Officer Grade-II, Executive Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Tel/RAC/WW/SS/CWISS/HORT)/Senior Architect, Software/System/Network Engineer and Councellor. In addition, 02 vacancies are available for the post of Deputy Registrar and 03 vacancies are available for the post of Senior Software/System/Network Engineer Grade-II. Among these, the post of Deputy Registrar is to be filled up on a contractual basis for a period of 03 years subject to extension on the basis of the candidate’s performance.
Candidates willing to apply for recruitment to the aforementioned vacancies must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility conditions as prescribed against each post. For the post of Dy. Chief System Manager, Ph.d qualification with 1st class preceding degrees in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics is required. Candidates must also have 13 years or more of relevant experience. The maximum permissible age is 50 years for this post. For the post of Superintending Engineer (Civil) a Graduate Engineering/Technology degree is required in Civil discipline along with 15 years or more of relevant experience. The maximum permissible age limit is 50 years.
Candidates willing to apply for the post of Deputy Registrar, candidates must have a Master’s degree with 55% marks in addition to 09 years or more of relevant experience as an Assistant Professor in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix. For the post of Senior Executive Engineer/Senior Architect, candidates must have a first-class B.E./B.Tech./B. Arch degree in a relevant branch of Engineering along with 08 years of experience. Candidates having a B.E./B. Tech./M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology or MCA along with 05 years of relevant experience can apply for the post of Senior Software/System/Network Engineer. The maximum age limit for this post is 40 years.
