Indian Institute of Science, Education & Research, Thiruvananthapuram is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up one vacancy of Junior Research Fellow. The vacancy is for the project titled “Van der Waals superconducting circuits operating at elevated temperatures & magnetic fields”. A detailed recruitment advertisement is published in this regard at the official website of the IISER i.e. iisertvm.ac.in. A single vacancy is advertised by IISER for this recruitment. The complete eligibility conditions to apply for this post is also indicated in the detailed advertisement. The eligibility conditions are as per the directives of the funding agency of the project i.e. SERB, CRG/2018/004213. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Physics or related fields including Engineering Physics, Materials Science, Materials Engineering. Candidates having a Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering/Materials Science/Materials Engineering/Applied Physics/Engineering Physics with at least 60% marks may also apply. However such candidates must have been selected through National Eligibility Tests such as UGC-NET including lectureship & GATE or through examinations conducted by the MHRD and subsidiary agencies such as UGC, IIT, IISc, IISERs, IIITs etc. The maximum age of the applicants must not be more than 28 years as on the last date of receipt of applications. However, relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable as per MHRD norms for SC/ST, OBC and female applicants.
Shortlisted eligible candidates are selected for appointment through interview. The interview date, time and venue are communicated by the IISER through email ID of the applicants. This information can also be checked from the official website. It is important that candidates carry all original documents as well as their photocopies to the interview. In addition, a hard copy of the application form must also be carried to the interview. Upon final selection, the candidates are appointed on contractual terms till the completion of the project. During this appointment, candidates are entitled to receive compensation at the rate of Rs 30000 and HRA.
