IIFT 2019 Exam to be held on December 02, 2018; Know complete details here

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has announced the exam date for IIFT 2019 entrance exam. It has been declared on the official website that “This year the entrance Exam of MBA(IB) 2019-21 program is schedule on 02nd December 2018“.  The candidates can expect the other necessary details to be out very soon.

It was expected that the IIFT 2019 entrance exam would be held in the first week of Dec and now the same has been confirmed by the official authorities. The declaration of the exam date has been made at the official website, tedu.iift.ac.in/iift

The IIFT entrance exam is a national level entrance exam which is held every year. The candidates are offered admission in MBA (IB) program on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam, Essay write-up, Group Discussion, and Interview.

To apply for IIFT 2019, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The education pattern must be 10+2+3 years of the degree. Those who are in the final year of the degree examination are also eligible to apply for IIFT entrance exam. Like CAT exam, there is no age limit for this entrance exam as well. The International students/Foreign Nationals/ NRI Candidates/Children of NRIs can apply with a valid GMAT score only.

Usually the notification for CAT and IIFT are available around the same time. Hence, it is expected that the registration process for IIFT 2019 shall start by Last week of Jul or First week of Aug 2018. The IIFT Application form will be available online at the exam website. In the form you need to enter details such as Personal Details, Academic Qualification Details, Work Experience details, etc.

The application fee and mode of the payment shall be same as last year. The General / OBC category candidates shall pay an amount of Rs. 1550, SC/ ST / PH category candidates shall have to pay an amount of Rs. 775, lastly, Foreign Nationals / NRI shall have to pay US $80 / Rs. 4500. You may pay the fee by either online mode or by DD.

Another big news for the aspirants could be that the exam shall now be held in computer based. However, this as per unofficial reports and Director of the institute, Prof. Manoj Pant, has hinted it might go online this year but nothing is confirmed yet.

IIFT 2019 will consist of 114 objective type MCQ questions. Thee total duration of the entrance test is 02 hours. There are Six sections in this entrance exam which are, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, General Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude. The exam pattern and syllabus for IIFT 2019 will be available with the release of the exam notification.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organisation. The IIFT was set up to to help professionalise the country’s foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources, analysing and disseminating data and conducting research. The Institute has been ranked number 23 as per NIRF Ranking 2018.
