Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT), Thanjavur is inviting applications to fill up 20 vacancies advertised at its website i.e. iifpt.edu.in. The institute has announced openings for recruitment to the posts of Adjunct Faculty, Young Professional-II, Senior/Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant on a contract basis. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the recruitment when the online application window opens on August 05, 2020. The application window is opening at 10.00 AM on the aforementioned date. The last date of submission of applications online is August 24, 2020, till 05.00 PM.
As per the recruitment advertisement posted on the official website, there are 03 vacancies for the post of Adjunct Faculty. 14 vacancies are available for the post of Senior/Junior Research Fellow. 02 vacancies are available for the post of Project Assistant. There is a single vacancy available for the post of Young Professional-II. Eligible candidates meeting the complete eligibility criterion are encouraged to apply for the recruitment before the last date. Candidates appointed to the post of Adjunct Faculty are entitled to receive a monthly remuneration of Rs 80,000. Young Professional-II post holders are entitled to receive a remuneration of Rs 25000 (Consolidated) per month. Those who are appointed to the post of Senior/Junior Research Fellow are entitled to a monthly consolidated pay of Rs 25,000 – 35,000 in addition to applicable House Rent Allowance. Similarly, candidates appointed to the post of Project Assistant are also entitled to a consolidated monthly payment of Rs 12,000-20,000 and House Rent Allowance as applicable.
The maximum permissible age limit is specified against each post. For the post of Adjunct Faculty, the maximum age applicants can be as high as 65 years. However, for all the other posts i.e. Young Professional-II, Senior/Junior Research Fellow, and Project Assistant, the maximum permissible age of male candidates is 35 years while for female candidates is 40 years. Candidates having a M. Tech, M. Sc., Ph. D with specialization in Post-Harvest Technology/Food Technology/Food Engineering and similar associated disciplines are eligible to apply for the post of Adjunct Faculty. Applicants must have 10-15 years of experience in a relevant area. Those having a M. Tech/M.Sc./MCA/Ph.D. with a specialization in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Software Engineering and relevant experience of 10-15 years can also apply for the post.
Candidates having an M.Tech/M.Sc./Ph.D in Food Technology/Food Processing and other associated disciplines as specified in the detailed advertisement can apply for the post of Senior/Junior Research Fellow. Candidates having an M.Sc. degree in the specified disciplines along with NET qualification and 02 years of research experience (or Ph.D.) are also eligible to apply for the SRF/JRF posts. For the post of Project Assistant, candidates having a B.Tech, B.Sc., M.Sc. in Food Process Engineering or associated disciplines are eligible to apply. Those having a Master Degree in Foodd Engineering or other specified disciplines are eligible to apply for the post of Young Professional-II. Candidates with proficiency in the Hindi and Punjabi language are preferred for this post.
An application fee of Rs 500 must be paid by all candidates except SC/ST and PWD candidates. Soft copies of all relevant supporting documents must be uploaded along with the application form. The first page of publications must be uploaded. No other mode of application is accepted and selected applicants are to be called for online written exam and online interview. However, Adjunct Faculty applicants are to be selected through interview only. The exam is to be taken up by selected applicants from their homes. There will be 40 MCQ type questions and 02 essay type questions. The total marks are 50 and there are no provisions of negative marking.
