Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducts MBA entrance examination two times a year. So, this year, first session for OPENMAT 2019 will be held on December 16, 2018. The XLIV session is for the candidates who want to take admission to the distance learning programme by the university for the academic year 2019-21. For the upcoming exam, students must read the important instructions issued by the university. Also, the candidates who have missed the registration this time will able to apply for XLV session. The registration is expected to start in the month of January 2019.

#1. OPENMAT 2019 Admit Card

On the exam day, it is important to carry the hall ticket. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of IGNOU at http://www.ignou.ac.in. Previously, the official link to download the hall ticket was changed on the website. So, it is essential that candidates refer only official and valid link to access the admit card.

#2. Important Documents to Carry

Apart from OPENMAT 2019 Admit Card, test takers must also carry a colored photograph, identity proof, and stationery items. Since OPENMAT is offline or pen & paper-based test, candidates must carry HB pencil, pens, eraser, and sharpener. Without all these important documents, candidates will not get the entry inside the examination hall.

Also, test takers have to keep all the debarred items outside before entering the test premises. Some of the prohibited items are mobile phones, pager, calculators, electronic items etc.

#3. Reporting Time

It is mandatory that candidates reach the exam centre on time as mentioned on the admit card. According to the official website, candidates must report at 9:15 AM sharp. There is no entry after 10:30 AM. So, be familiar with the test location atleast one day before the exam day. Leave for the exam by keeping a minimum of 30 minutes buffer time.

#4. How to Fill OMR sheet

Make sure to sign the attendance sheet and answer booklet during the exam.

After getting the OMR sheet or answer booklet, candidates must ensure that they fill it clearly and without damaging the sheet. Test takers have to fill candidates’ particulars with the ballpoint pen and mark the answers with HB pencils. In case, a candidate wants to re-mark the answer, then completely erase the previous answer and mark the new one. The answer sheet shouldn’t be torn or have any kind of unnecessary marks on it.

#5. After the examination

Once the exam is over, candidates must submit their sheets to the invigilator. Also, after leaving the exam hall, keep the admit card safe. Candidates will need it during the final admission. As the application form for the admission will be rejected if the admit card is not attached to it.

Preparation for the Exam

As only a few days have been left for the exam, candidates can practice the previous year question papers of the exam. Also, take mock tests according to the exam pattern of OPENMAT.

All the best for the exam!
